Blog structuring using EEAT format Our client is an educational institution that provides certification courses both globally and locally. We are revamping the client’s website blog section to align with Google's latest algorithm updates and workflow, incorporating E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) principles and E-A-V (Engage, Add Value) strategies. Previously, blog content was attributed to trainers who conducted the respective courses or had niche expertise. However, most of these trainers are not full-time employees. While 5-6 trainers work as in-house staff, the rest are freelancers or are hired for specific batches. As a result,... 2 0 replies

Difficult to trust Semrush, Moz, etc. Semrush (and the rest) are so off from my Google Search Console stats that I find it difficult to trust their data when I do an analysis on a competitor. Anyone else find this? 1 1 replies
How much to expect to pay a good SEO company Good evening everyone and experts, I am recently in the market for a SEO company. I am 100% looking for quality and a good ROI, and I do understand SEO takes time. My two questions would be: how much should I expect to pay a good SEO company, and how would you personally vet out a company to see if they are the real deal and not some beginner who took a few courses (no offense to anyone who is a beginner who took a few courses) Thank you!... 4 8 replies
Adding both main domain and sub domains in Google Search Console Sorry in advance if this is a super noob question. Let's say I have a site, and the domain is - foo.com. It is a server side web app that is hosted on netlify. I also have a blog that is hosted by ghost pro, and the domain for the blog is - blog.foo.com. I would like to add both to google search console as separate sites. The web app is dynamic and does not have a sitemap.xml. But the blog does, and intend to to submit through google... 5 4 replies
How to Prevent Content Cannibalization While Creating a Mini SEO Course? I’m planning to build a 2-hour mini SEO course on my agency’s website, covering around 8-10 topics (e.g., “What is SEO and why do we need it?”, “How search engines work,” “Keyword research,” “On-page SEO,” “Technical SEO,” etc.). However, I also want to publish more in-depth articles on each of these topics to help with Google rankings. I’m concerned about potential content cannibalization—basically competing with myself in search results by having a short version of the content for the mini course and a longer, more comprehensive version in separate... 5 2 replies
Keyword tracking Can anyone recommend ways to see how keywords are doing along with comparisons to competitors? I’m familiar with Google search console and Google Analytics. We were using an seo company called wsi integrations that would get this information together to present to us each month but we let them go. Thanks!! 1 2 replies
Is there a way to see Google Reviews for a certain time period? Hi everyone! For some context, I'm creating a SEMrush report for a client, tracking their holiday campaign between Oct 15, 2023 to Jan 10, 2024 and between Oct 15, 2024 to Jan 10, 2025 and comparing the data. They want to see how many Google reviews they got per each period and the average rating per period. Is there a way to do this using any tools or AI, rather than manually going in and counting each review? Appreciate the advice! 4 0 replies
Most traffic page taken down by fraud DMCA We have a page that ranked top 3 for a high traffic keyword. A fraudulent DMCA what filed for a bunch of pages including ours and google has taken our page out of index. There was no notice in search console so we filed a manual counter notice but have not received a reply in nearly a month. Is there anything we can do? Should we implement a 301 or 307 redirect in the meantime but will this hurt rankings? 3 2 replies
SEO Catchment page / Blog Pages Hey Team, For product sales, what's the must haves for creating these pages. Good content, links to products, (how many links should I do per blog max?) should I be linking the keywords I want to be picked up for to product page. Should I write blogs on the same site as my ecommerce store or write them on a external website? Should I register a domain with the key search words in it to write the blog posts on? What other tricks should I be making sure I... 4 1 replies
Products not showing up on google Hey everyone, I’m hoping this subreddit can help me out! :) I run a Shopify store (don’t worry, I’m not another dropshipping guru!) where I sell well-known perfume brands. But I’ve run into an issue with my Google Merchant Center. I’ve added my perfumes to the Merchant Center, and everything seems fine on that end. The issue is that when I search for the perfumes I sell (which other stores sell too), the perfumes show up on Google, but my store and prices don't show up as an option.... 1 1 replies
Best Place to Find Freelance/Contractors? Currently working for an agency as just a regular employee, things have gotten really crazy workload wise where I am at. I just keep getting new clients, and tons of new project hours. I've been tasked by my company to find some form of freelancer or contractor to help fill some of the work-load demand coming in, as they plan to continue to add more work on top of what I am already doing. There are no plans to currently hire anyone permanent. Anyone have any experience in this... 4 4 replies

Migrating blogs after an acquisition Hey all! My expertise in SEO is more focused on the on-page/content production side of things, so I wanted to ask a question one of my clients posed. This client (let's call it Company X) is a start-up that was recently acquired by a much bigger corporation (let's call it Company Y). Company Y wants to migrate some of Company X's high-performing blog posts to its site, but isn't sure what to do with the rest of the blog posts it decides not to migrate. My client asked if... 3 3 replies
How do I know if this is a "healthy" monthly search volume? I don't know how to articulate my question very well... But I'll try my best. See, I recently started to play with SEO tools (the cheap ones) like: Mangools, Ubersuggest, Google Keyword Planner, Google Trends, etc. I'm doing this to study potential opportunities in my area that help residential painting businesses become visible on Google and generate more leads. The first thing I was curious about was *monthly search volume* for specific keywords. For example, "painters in san antonio tx". I first tried with Google Keyword Planner. It gave... 4 1 replies
Google Manual Actions For News & Discover Policy Violations Updated [SE Roundtable] If you lost news and discover traffic recently - this might apply >A few months ago, Google quietly updated the manual action policy violations list for News and Discover policy violations. Google removed the adult-theme and artificial freshening sections and then added a slew of deceptive practices sections, while also updating the hateful content section. >This change was spotted by Gagan Ghotra who nicely picked up on the change after I missed it. The change happened sometime between October 10th and November 27th, based on the Wayback Machine. >You... 5 0 replies
Did Google change something in approx September 2024? I have a small site (psychotherapy). It has no backlinks pointing to it and is ten years old but it has good content. It's always done very well (by my needs), which I have assumed was due to high engagement. Up to around last September 2024 it was producing many leads. In the September - December 2024 it dropped sharply down the ratings, and visitors dropped by two thirds. There are tons of things to investigate, but a starting question is whether google changed anything around that time -... 3 4 replies
Managing Google Small Business Profile with Brand Update Hey there, looking for some folks with more expertise on the small business side. Working with a company that recently rebranded. They have a google business profile that has a bunch of reviews that they wanted to maintain. We rebranded the profile page following some other advice I found on this sub and a few other posts, all went well. However, the google business profile ranks for the old branded keywords and does not rank for the new branded keywords. Any ideas or best practices on how to trigger... 1 2 replies
