Adding both main domain and sub domains in Google Search Console

Sorry in advance if this is a super noob question. Let's say I have a site, and the domain is - foo.com. It is a server side web app that is hosted on netlify. I also have a blog that is hosted by ghost pro, and the domain for the blog is - blog.foo.com. I would like to add both to google search console as separate sites. The web app is dynamic and does not have a sitemap.xml. But the blog does, and intend to to submit through google search console. Would adding both to google search console have any negative SEO consequences? SEO is going to be my main driver for traffic. Thanks in advance.
