How to Prevent Content Cannibalization While Creating a Mini SEO Course?
I’m planning to build a 2-hour mini SEO course on my agency’s website, covering around 8-10 topics (e.g., “What is SEO and why do we need it?”, “How search engines work,” “Keyword research,” “On-page SEO,” “Technical SEO,” etc.). However, I also want to publish more in-depth articles on each of these topics to help with Google rankings. I’m concerned about potential content cannibalization—basically competing with myself in search results by having a short version of the content for the mini course and a longer, more comprehensive version in separate blog posts. What’s the best way to structure these pages so both the quick-read mini course and the long-form articles can coexist without harming each other’s SEO? Any tips on content hierarchy, internal linking, or using canonical tags? Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences on how to handle this effectively. Thanks in advance for any insights!5
