Advice on the best blogging platform for SEO? Hi people, I'm trying to decide which platform to use to run my SaaS' blog. The blog will be in the /blog directory (mydomain dot com/blog). My main goals are that the blog should be easy to read on all devices and loads quickly. Basically, give my users a really good experience. In the past I've used Wordpress, Webflow and Ghost. Wordpress seems to have a lot of bloatware and I'm unsure of its direction due to recent happenings, Webflow has just always been unreliable, and Ghost is a... 2 3 replies
How to gain traffic on SaaS blogging site? Hey SEO experts, I've built a website that allows SaaS companies to publish blog posts and list their products in existing blogs. I'm struggling to drive significant organic traffic to the website. I've tried some basic SEO techniques like: On-page optimization, technical SEO. However, I'm not seeing the desired results. I'm looking for advice on how to: 1. Increase organic search visibility 2. Engage with the SaaS community Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! 3 6 replies
Advice please - ranking in Bing but not Google Looking for some suggestions why one of my sites gets decent search traffic from non Google (~25k monthly visitors from Bing / DDG etc) and almost zero from Google. The site is indexed, but not ranking at all. 1. It's a site with many thousands of pages targeting long tail low competition keywords with a handful of short tail high competition keywords. Think something like "<taylor swift song> lyrics explained". 2. Yes each page isn't the greatest quality and only has ~200 words (ie programmatically generated) but I have... 4 1 replies
SEO own Webshop / B2B Shops Hey, I work in sales for a beauty brand that operates an own Webshop and also sells products via several b2b online-shops. We are optimizing our product texts right now (about 60 products). What is the best way for every shop seo-wise, keeping the texts the same in every shop or make little changes in each shop? How does it affect seo? Thanks very much in advance 4 2 replies
Stop wasting $1600/month on local SEO if you're a specialized law firm Found a post on my forum that's going to ruffle some feathers, but someone needs to say it: traditional local SEO is bleeding specialized law firms dry, and here's a $38,400 lesson why. Quick background: Immigration attorney was spending $1600/month for 2 years on the usual local SEO package (you know the one - GBP optimization, citations, the works). Meanwhile, their PI lawyer buddy was crushing it with the exact same playbook. Same strategy, wildly different results. Why? Here's the kicker: Their actual client data showed people weren't searching... 4 10 replies
GSC Help -- Impressions rose steadily, then fell off completely My wife has a lifestyle blog that she started running around Sept last year. She learned a lot and her google impressions steadily rose, peaking during the busy Christmas season with \~500 per day. The past few weeks, however, these impressions have gone to nearly zero and there are suddenly loads of legitimate posts that are "crawled--not indexed" (filtering out all the "wp-content" and erroneous URLs) with nearly no explanation of why. I understand things go up and down, especially around a season like Christmas, but this seems like... 4 5 replies
Auther profile I’m working as an SEO specialist for an edtech platform in India, where we regularly publish blogs addressing our audience’s pain points and common queries related to education. However, we aren’t seeing much traffic from these blogs—only a few pieces are driving significant traffic. My question is: Does it matter if we publish the blogs under our organization’s author profile instead of a personal one? Is there a difference in performance based on the author type? Additionally, what are the best schema types to use when publishing an a... 2 2 replies
Not Sure if I am Getting Scammed Hello, I’m a small business owner with a relatively niche product. I’ve been using an agency for quite some time in regards to managing my SEO and Google Ads. I was told by them initially that it would take about 1k a month for 6 months to hit top 10 for keywords I was after plus link buys at 5k quarterly. That didn’t do much and now I was told 3k monthly plus 7.5k link buys quarterly. I’m now 5 months in and not seeing the results for the... 5 14 replies

What value can SEO bring to a small and poor startup? I'm not an expert in SEO besides the typical "<h1> tag must contain 69 words", and in my life I've never been able to extract any value from SEO, so I don't really know what it can do for me. Can it bring more users to my website or create awareness? Not a USA startup, which probably makes everything 100x harder. 2 16 replies
Tired of people saying SEO is dead Lets talk facts: in 2021 the daily users was around 7 billion searches and 2024 was around 8.5 billion. So more people are searching than ever. Someone is always ranking for every search term. So how can you say SEO is dead despite this? Many blogs still rank, companies rank, and maybe Reddit does have a silly share in search but so do a lot of other sites big and small 1 20 replies
Google is not a search tool anymore - it has become an internet catalog. I am sick and tired of all these SEO whims, which are effectively Google whims. We started observers com almost two years ago, publishing and improving our content every day since then. More than 2000 articles were published, each taking hours of research, design, and editing. But mr. Google decided that they should not be on their internet catalog. I am not talking about ranking. Google just decided to "not index" them, basically banning us from the internet. No explanation or answer to our appeals. Our SEO audit revealed,... 5 16 replies
Google can't index my site - GSC returns "site-wide issue" - Bing and others index it fine, site scores really high in speed tests etc etc... Help? Title, basically... Sometimes it actually puts it in line to index, but then takes a while... hours... most of the time it returns the error, though... Testing published URL works 25% of the times When it indexes it shows up in searches, news and Discover - I rank quite well depending on the relevancy of the post, no issues there... but usually I'd have it indexed in GSC in minutes, and then 1-2 hours for it to show up, sometimes less, sometimes a little more... now it's 6+ hours... 3 1 replies

I am at a loss, only home page is indexing (URL in thread) Let me start by saying I am not an idiot, I've been doing SEO for almost 20 years, however with a new website we've acquired, I am either missing something really basic or there is something else going on. The site in question is OutdoorPhotographer.com, I've checked all the basics like the robots.txt, WP own settings, Yoast SEO settings e.t.c. The two things I've thought it might be is: 1. Thin content, a lot of pages are user submitted photography pages which I've ensured are no index, alongside various... 4 0 replies
