Battery drain while using safari

Frow like past 2 weeks, I have been noticing that safari is draining the battery very fast. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I usually have 4-5 tabs open on my M2 Macbook Air.

Loud hiss in all videos (chrome, safari, quicktime, elmedia, etc)

At first I was blaming chrome but now since the latest update to my M1 Mac Mini once it starts it happens EVERYWHERE until I restart the machine. Its maddening because youll just be enjoying something and then this loud static hiss takes over EVERYTHING. The source is a dell USB sound bar mounted to the monitor. Plugging another source into the sound bar works though.

macOS tag issue - how to use it correctly?

I use only a couple of tag but already run into issues with managing them. example: I have created (from the generic violet, red, yellow, green tags) the tags "new", "to do", "in progress", "done". Because I found it to be fiddly to remove old tags/setting new tags when the status of a file changes, I have created some shortcuts to set the desired state (tag) after removing any existing ones from the file. Now what happens is, that I arbitrarily end up having duplicate tags like the generic...

WiFi issues after newest update

I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I have a MacBook and once I got the new update I started having the wifi act up, it tends to disconnect randomly (and inconveniently), but will reconnect shortly after. No other device was having this issue until my dad, who has a Mac did the same thing and seems to have the same troubles. Has anyone else had this happen on the new update? Any tips if so?

Finder alternative?

Finder sucks for moving files cross differens directories. What is the best/most popular option that has a good privacy policy (doesn't collect or share any data, isn't phoneing home etc) Best regards, kuken500

cmd + ` not working when devtool in open with chrome

Hello, i'm trying to switch between private and normal chrome windows with the cmd + \` shortcut, it works as usual but whenever i open the devtool, the shortcut stops working, any idea why ?

Macbook wallpaper take up a lot of space, cannot get rid of them.

This folder have is >20 video of scenery, which I dont think i see them before. I think it is the dynamic wallpaper, and i never used it so IDK why it would automatically download it, also it is these video is taking up about 42GB, which i dont have much space left. It will automatically download it again after i delete it, and I really want to stop download it. Now I am delete it once a few day and it seem like it is downloading at night???...

Apple Intelligence - I like it.

I'd like to hear about how other people are finding it useful. I've found myself using it in email quite a lot as it gets the body of the email typed for me and I can just go in and change on or two words. Also I've used it to make my emails either more professional or friendly which I think is a great feature as I sometimes don't realise how someone else may read what I've typed.

Photos App Portrait Issue (HEIC)

Hello, currently running M4 MBP on Sequoia. I airdropped photos from my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and for some reason my portrait photos show up as portrait photos in the Mac OS Photos app, but the option to actually edit the portrait settings is not there. Weird thing is if I take that exact same photo in the app and convert it to JPEG it then gives the option to edit the portrait settings. I have read some forums online and this seems to be an issue for everyone...

MacOS 15.2 Calendar ... how to get rid of this invitations / notifications?

Hi, I'm sharing a few iCloud calendars. I'm the owner of the calendar. I turned of notifications (as far as I know), but I can't get rid of the invitations / notifications shown in the screenshot... those appear every time a new event is created or changed. There are lots of changes in this calendar during the week and those notifications on my Mac are really annoying. huge storage vs. Disk utility difference

hey guys, having a problem and searching for solutions here. Photoshop had a problem saying volume storage full, while in settings > general it seems empty but the disk utility claiming its full, having 687GB of purgeable space. Not an native IT guy nor a macos expert, but work with apple/ macos since 10+years in creative field. macos 15.1 (24B83) 1.) What's the actual right info? Full or empty? and 2) how to remove the purgeable space?

MacBook Air M2 stuck in "recovery mode".

Hello, My niece has a MacBook Air M2 with a broken screen or screen connection. With no image on the screen, she activated recovery mode. Now it is possible to get an image every now and then by turning the angle of the screen/hinge slightly. By clicking on the apple (top left of the screen) and choosing restart, I hoped to be able to continue. Unfortunately, the device keeps restarting in recovery mode. Anyone have any ideas on how to get out of recovery mode? I want to connect...

Been theming and replacing everything for quite some time. What do y'all think? What I still gotta change: \- **AquaLickX** works darn great and as you can see, it's very beautiful but the metallic/skeuomorphic look is missing imo so I'll try to get different options. Does sb. know where to get sth. which is as close to Mountain Lion/Mavericks design as possible? \- **Safari** stopped working after installing the theme but it's okay for me because Firefox got a retro theme which fits better anyway. \- **3D Notification badges**...

I'm beginning to be tired of Apple taking months/year to fix bugs on so called "new features" : 15.3 still not fixed iPhone mirroring face ID locking loop on intel Macs.

This is a bug since the release of macOS 15.0 and the introduction of iPhone mirroring. Can't believe almost 5 months later we can't access locked face ID apps on intel macs. Still having this eternal loop of entering admin password or unlocking with the watch on intel macs. This is like this for years with Apple. Simple bugs like that will probably takes years to be fixed - A thing that I begin to be extremely annoyed with Apple.
