Latency Spikes macOS 15

I've been experiencing latency spikes on my M2 Max MacBook since installing macOS 15.0 and am looking to see if anybody has any other debugging steps I can try or potential fixes. **Background:** * Started on macOS 15.0. I am currently on 15.3 and am still experiencing the same issue. * The latency spikes happen in 5 minute intervals. Almost exactly 5 minutes. Accessibility Shortcut colour filter + keyboard dim

Hi, can someone pls help me to script automation on macOS. I have colour filter mapped on my accessibility shortcut, so after triple click on touchid I get 100% blue and green light filter - my screen gets fully red but my keyboard still producing lots of blue light, is there any workaround to dim my keyboard every time I turn on my colour filter ? Move window from one screen to another when using ARD...

Hi all.. So I somewhat frequently remote into my MacMini running Sequoia.. My Mac has two screens and sometimes I leave an app running on the screen that I can't see when I remote in using ARD. Is there some way to force the app to relocate from the screen I can't see to primary display? I saw a reference elsewhere for a utility called Magnet on the App Store but not sure if it will do what I'm looking for. thoughts?

Can't delete, find or open App??

I have an app, I installed it with homebrew apparently. I can see it in my apps but can't open it or see it in my finder or delete it. when I click on it, it won't open bc it's in the trash. trash is empty tho. I can't remove it through the terminal bc it can't be found. when I try to uninstall it through the terminal, with a homebrew command, won't work either bc homebrew isn't installed. im not sure if people are familiar with homebrew but...

Can not remote into apple silicon

Hello, I use remote desktop quite often from my windows machine, I used to remote into my intel mac mini when I needed a mac and it worked fine. I purchased the new m4 mac mini and I can not remote into it I always get "Error code: 0x516" and "Error code 0x4" I thought that was weird so I tried to remote into my macbook m1max and got the same error. Keyboard and mouse battery-% often at 0%.

I bought a macmini M2 a few months ago. I noticed that quite often the battery-% of the keyboard and/or the mouse is at 0%. Even after changing the batteries. A few hours later it does give the right %. Sometimes it’s the keyboard, other times the mouse, sometimes both. OS is updated, that didn’t help either. I use an Apple keyboard and mouse from 2017, they worked fine with the iMac I had until I got the mini. Anyone knows what’s going on?

Bulk edit notifications for multiple apps?

Is there any way I can turn off notifications for a group of apps without going through one by one? Also is there a master setting to turn off Sound with all notifications or is that only possible one by one?

Mac misbehaving after latest Update

So I updated Mac OS to 15.3 a couple of days ago and since then there's all sorts of stuff is happening; \- frequent app crashes and unresponsive apps (all over the place - finder, notion, sketch, music and on and on) \- photoshop is telling me my GPU is incompatible all of the sudden? (M1 Max) \- frequent slowdowns Anyone else having a similar issue? or have an idea how to fix this without completely nuking the system? Thanks a bunch

What is your workflow on MacOS?

Hey! I've been a Linux user for years. Recently, I got my first MBP and I love it. My workflow uses multiple desktops, each with a different fullscreen window, and I toggle between desktops using left and right swipes on the trackpad. I also use the AltTab app to cycle between apps and desktops. I'm curious about alternative ways to interact with the OS. What is your workflow?

"Music" app always open files as they are downloaded

As a said in the title, every time an .mp3 or audio files get downloaded, the "Music" app opens it. How can I disable this function? Thanks

screenshots not being saved on hard drive

I've been using screenshots native shortcuts (CMD+Shift+4) for a long time. I can see the screenshot appearing in a corner of my screen. I've tried to assign a different location for the screenshot to arrive. BUT the screenshots aren't saved to my hard drive anymore, nowhere else. Please help :)

Minimise windows into application icon doesn't work

In sequoia the "Minimise windows into application icon" setting doesn't work consistently. For example mail does work, but system settings and appstore dont... Also other applications started from the dock are not minimising into their application icon. Next to that not all open apps show an indicator in the dock that its open... Is my dock borked or is it Sequoia crap?

Ich habe ausversehen im Lesezeichenordner bei den "Tabgruppenfavoriten" 2 Unterordner erstellt und kann sie leider nicht mehr löschen. Ich hab auch schon das Internet durchforscht, aber keiner Bekommt den Überordner weg. Jedoch bekomm ich nicht einmal die von mir erstellten Unterordner wieder weg bzw einige darin abgesicherten Links. Kann mir evtl jmd helfen, wie ich die zumindest weg bekomme? Intel Mac running Monterey still usable in 2026?

Hello, I’ll have an MBP M3 at home after switching from Windows, but I need a cheap Intel MBA for urgent tasks while traveling—editing docs, signing files, etc.—without worrying about damage or security. My key question: Roughly how many years can I use it (e.g., with Monterey OS) while keeping Google Chrome and LibreOffice functional? I’m not concerned about battery life. For example, would a MacBook Air A1466 (i5-5250U, 8GB DDR3, 256GB SSD) still be viable?
