My mac won't stay asleep

I have a noisy external hard drive, and I keep noticing disk activity. Figuring that out is another project, but I got tired of listening to it, so I keep putting my mac in to sleep mode (apple menu, sleep). It doesn't stay asleep. After a while (10 minutes? I didn't time it). I start hearing the disk going again, and if I touch the keyboard, and the machine it immediately ready. Why isn't it staying asleep? How can I make it stay asleep?

“Work with apps” feature in ChatGPT app doesn’t appears

Hello everyone! I have a question about the ChatGPT app for macOS: It's impossible for me to activate "Work with apps", I don't have the button at the bottom of the window and there's nothing in the app settings either. I'm a free user, but I don't get the impression that the feature is reserved for premium customers... I'm of course on the latest version of the app and macOS is also up to date on 15.3. Any ideas?

Sending a Genmoji to devices that doesn’t support Apple Intelligence

I live in Europe, so iPhones currently doesn’t have Apple Intelligence and my Mac is one of the only devices in my family that has Apple Intelligence (plus that there not many devices in my family that can support that), so I’m wondering if I can still send Genmojis from my MacBook Air to one of my family’s devices and they can see it? (They all have IPhone 13)

macOS Restores Minimized Windows

Hi there, as you can see in the attached video, I have two Safari windows open—one on my desktop and another that’s minimized. The settings app is in the foreground. When I tap the Safari window to bring it to the foreground, macOS automatically restores the minimized Safari window and makes it the frontmost window. Is there a setting to fix this behavior? I’ve never noticed this before. I think either something has changed in macOS or I made a mistake. Would the Samsung T7 be sufficient for me?

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a Samsung T7 External SSD for my Mac M3, but I'm not sure if it will be enough for me. I think the SSD comes with a USB-Type C cable, will this affect the data transfer speed negatively? By the way, I am a software developer and I plan to run all my programs and projects (5-10GB) from SSD, will I have any shuttering or something with this?

BenQ PD2700U (4K, 27", 60Hz) work well with MacBook Pro M3 Pro?

I’m eyeing the BenQ PD2700U for my MacBook Pro M3 Pro 16". Planning to use it for Blender, DaVinci Resolve, coding (VSCode/IntelliJ), and Debian terminal work. * Will the text on a 27" 4K monitor be *too small*? * Any macOS compatibility issues with this monitor? * Is 60Hz good enough for these tasks? * Does 4K scaling impact the MacBook’s performance a lot? Signing in with correct Apple ID and password gives me an error and won't let me run an app I bought off the Mac App Store

"Paint S" a program I bought off the mac app store for my Mac Mini all of a sudden will not load because when I open the app, I get a "sign into the computer" prompt that when entered with the correct Apple ID and password seems like it will load but then goes to a message prompt that says "An unexpected error occurred while signing in" and the app closes. Is there an iPhone or MacOS app that will allow me to put my Reddit Feed & Instagram Feed all in one feed?

I'm perfectly fine paying for an app if it can do this. If there's a god free one , great. But if not, I don't mind paying as well as long as it's decent and will do this for me.

Dock stuck

For my m1 MacAir, I have always used two external monitors with my laptop monitor and displaylink and had no problems. If I moved my mouse to a different screen and dragged it to the bottom, the dock would show up, just as I intended. All three monitors in a horizontal line. Computer updated to Sequoia 15.0 this morning and the dock would not move when I bring it to the bottom of a screen. 15.3 then popped up and I installed that. Copying files from iCloud to external drive

I want to copy a large amount of data from iCloud to an external drive on macOS sequoia. As the space on my iMac isn’t sufficient I’m looking for a solution where I copy those files directly to the external drive. Any ideas?

Certain files greyed out in Finder

I did a Get Info on one normal file and the disting file but can't see a meaningful difference. I can only find disting file when doing a search in a finder window, and it loads up just fine in Preview. This is happening for many other files as well not just disting. This 'manuals' folder is on an external hard drive fwiw. Anyone know what's up?
