Trying to find a Sonoma 14.1 installer... that specific dot version.... Hello... long story short, I have a corrupt/dead SSD drive that has only been seen as a drive by an M1 laptop running 14.1 in an Apple retail store. I have tried many many other Macs and PC's and other, later, versions of Sonoma, but that is the only instance where anything could see it as a drive. Turn back on Time Machine reminders I used to be reminded every 10 days to do a Time Machine backup ("No Backups for x days..."), and the Time Machine icon would have a "!" in it if I didn't. I haven't had these reminders for a while, and I'm not sure how I can turn them back on. I'm on Sequoia, and in Time Machine settings it says Backup Frequency: Automatically Every Hour. Can’t eject external drives. Can’t add them to spotlight privacy list I can’t eject any of my 6 external drives. All of them say something is accessing them. Relaunching finder doesn’t work. Logging out and back in doesn’t work. Restarting doesn’t work. In the past when this has happened I have added that drive to the spotlight privacy list and it has fixed the issue but now I get an unknown error when I try to add any drive to the list. Anyone else get a ton of space back after updating to 15.2? Just wondering—I've had 15.2 installed for a few days on my M1 Macbook Air, and I just noticed that I now have about 60GB more space than I did before. I always regret having only gotten the 256GB hard drive because I'm constantly fighting to make room on it, so getting this much to work with seems miraculous. /etc/hosts redirect not working with Safari, works in other browsers....?? I want to redirect some domains to localhost which I've always done in /etc/hosts Recently that stopped working but only in Safari - the sites do point to localhost from Firefox.. Ditching macOS Defaults? Struggling with SketchyBar, Yabai, and Window Managers—Need Recommendations! Can I rename my monitor? I have 2 monitors, 1 connected with hdmi and one with USB-C When I click on my sound icon on my top toolbar to select a sound source I see a list with devices that can be used for audio output. Please help, M1 2020 Macbook Air boots only to black screen with cursor, THATS IT!!! So, I got this computer cheap as the display was physically broken. I only wanted to use it with a monitor so it was perfect for me. Passwords isn’t saving anything even when it asks after logging in to a website. I’ve tried adding manually as well from the app. Click save and it disappears. For some reason, there’s a lot of wi-fi logins saved (33) but all other categories (including “All”) say zero next to them. I think if it was working properly the All category should at least say 33? Full disclosure, I found out my mother has been saving all her logins and basically everything that should be very secure in her Contacts app. So I’m sitting here trying to get her sorted.
