revert to 15.1 from 15.2 15.2 has broken some of my software, I'd like to revert to 15.1. I have a TM backup from before I installed 15.2, but I can't restore it. I booted into system recovery selected the backup date but it won't restore it - it wants to install a new version of macOS and use migration assistant. This is not helpful. Which Dynamic Island app should I get? I am completely stuck between which dynamic island app I should get for mac. I'm between Alcove, MediaMate, and Dynamic Lake Pro. The others I saw were either buggy or had bad reviews so I've narrowed it down to those three. I cannot decide which is best because they all have really good features. Forgot password, can only access network screen on startup So I created a new admin user to prep a MacBook to sell. Lo and behold I forgot the password I created, and now I can’t get into the laptop. I restarted in recovery mode, but it’s trying to link to an Apple ID from media I owned it, even though I was logged into it for a while. Window dragging? WTH happened to the window dragging? I feel like I'm fighting the OS every time I try to maximize a window. Now it draws the boxes for positioning but when I choose the full screen box, it leaves this annoying space buffer around the window. And then I try and drag the corner of the window to the full corner of the screen, and it draws all those damn positioning boxes everywhere. What is a "sharing only" account in users and groups settings? I recently found an old friends name under "sharing only" in users and groups. I can't see this account when I go into the login page. What does this mean? I don't really trust him anymore so I'm not sure if he put something on my computer when he had access to it a long time ago. How to use the search specfic image name or file on MacOS Hello there you know how on windows you can like search for a file let's say the image is "JimmyDog.JPG" and it would actually search it. How come when I do that on mac OS on the file place it doesn't do that? it just shows me random number files or when I use finder it just shows me the directionary word for that. iCloud+ Drive: Why is it downloading all files to my laptop? (Optimise Mac Storage = ON) Hi, I pay for iCloud+ so I can free up space in my Macbook, I want all my files in the cloud... TextEdit File Recovery Does anyone know if we can recover a TextEdit file that suddenly disappeared? 3 of my files suddenly disappeared. I have saved them many times upon editing and still they are nowhere to be found in my computer files nor my icloud files. Properly Reset My Mac My macbook pro (2019) is beginning to get old and I want everything on it gone so I can start fresh. I already tried the default factory reset but it didn't make it faster or anything. Basically keeps growing until disk is full and I either reboot or the OS crashes. MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2018, Intel. Today I left it without Safari (or any browser), Mail, etc, running for 8 hours and the swap used has grown to over 37 GB... Getting Mac OS Safari to behave like iOS? (Closing last tab doesn't close window) Anyone know if there's a way to get Mac OS Safari to behave like iOS Safari when closing the final tab of a single browser window? I really like how the iPad OS always has a blank window when closing out all the tabs. Obviously the default behavior on the Mac is to close the entire window.
