Charging Limit (Desktop Mode) for MacBooks (Apple Silicon) I recently noticed that when using a MacBook with an external display and always connected to power, it stops charging and goes into desktop mode with charging on hold, due to optimized battery charging. But if I step away for a while, then it goes to sleep and is back to being charged to 100%. And then when I use it for a while, it again starts doing this charging on hold and drops back to 80%. Messages no longer show contact names and photos. Since I first updated to Sequoia, my Messages app no longer shows the contact names and photos. I’ve checked in the Contacts app, my iCloud contacts are there, “On my Mac” is empty. I’ve tried going into Accounts and disabling/enabling the accounts but nothing seems to be working. 15.2 Youtube doesn't play videos past buffer bar Since 15.2 released, I have developed a weird issue with my MacBook Pro M3 Max. Youtube will simply not play, past where the buffer bar loads to. Once the video hits that point, I just get a spinning circle. I also cannot advance the video beyond that point. My iPhone, iPad and other devices all work fine on the same network. Create a script to write NTFS disks on mac Create with the help of AI cursor a script to automatically mount NTFS disks using ntfs-3g and write to them. Let me know if it worked for you and what you think, it may not be the most efficient but it works. MacOS 5k2k native resolution Hi, I just bought a LG 40wp95c-w with a native resolution of 5120x2160. I struggle to use this monitor in it's native resolution. The text is really blurry. I understand the mac is not great at scaling, but I was under the impression that the native resolution of the monitor required no scaling, thus looking great. New Mac user with basic problem on MS Word I've installed Office 365 on my new Macbook and I'm having a basic but infuriating problem. When I click on a text box/field in an existing Word document, the cursor is a 4-way arrow (the kind that allows you to move the box around). The only way I can get it to change to a normal cursor, and therefore be able to type text, is to right-click and select "edit text". Is there a way to change this default behaviour? Can’t eject drive, can’t add drive to spotlight search privacy Drive can never be ejected without shutting down. I have tried adding it to the spotlight search privacy list which has helped in the past but I get a message saying there is an unknown error. What can I try next? Cant use Sidecar Extended Display mode with USB since 18.1 - A miscellaneous error occurred (-6745). Hello. Since 18.1 I have this error when trying to use iPad as extended display. It works with keyboard/mouse extended but not display. In Wifi/Bluetooth mode it works as extended display. USB Cable is the original one and is the same as I always used and worked before 18.1 Others reported the same issue in apple support but apparently no help from them.
