    Feeling lonely

I am 38M, have worked in software field for last 17 years and have gained good experience and position. Work is my passion, and have never been in any relationships nor explored one. I am at a stage that I don’t want to marry after looking almost all my friends divorced (even my elder brother) and some social media news about men being harassed after divorce. I need some companionship, and want to spend time with someone who I can share my feelings with. I am not looking for...

    Bike emblems and stickers stolen

This is a type of vandalism I never expected to happen to me. My bike was parked outside my college campus (Nitte Bangalore), and just an hour ago, when I went to pick it up to drive back home, I noticed that all the stickers and the RTR emblem on the right side of the bike had been ripped off. Someone even tried to peel the emblem on the right side, and it ended up breaking. My bike is only four months old, and I'm a new rider. I've...

What are the less-fancy Bangalore snacks you enjoy?

For me, any bakery I visit, I must try the aloo bun and toast. I also enjoy tomato slice from the 'dry chaat' carts. Then Mangalore bonda (golibaje) and chilli bajjis. Dark green chutney is a must. I enjoy these snacks for almost a quarter of the price I would pay at fancier places.

Renting Areas between Bellandur and Indiranagar

I and my live-in partner want to rent a place which makes it possible for both of us to commute easily for work. I work at Indiranagar and he works at Bellandur. What are the areas where we can rent reasonably a 1bhk (furnished or otherwise)so that the commute isnt too tiring for both of us. The area should be relatively safe/walkable at night. We are new to the city. Please help.

Hi people, if you contact broker always check Google reviews first.

g.co/kgs/rXPN6Dy A lot of these people are scammers. They may have many properties listed on site and even verified and long time since registered, still.

    Bangalore Book Club

Hey guys! Y’all must have recently seen the post about a book club in Indiranagar. Considering how many people were interested, I’m trying to gauge interest in setting up the same for Jayanagar/JP Nagar and adjacent areas. Depending on the interest level, we can then figure out the general preferences in terms of locations, meet ups, genres etc. Feel free to DM if you have any better ideas too!

Is this city safe enough for a woman to live alone?

I (24F) have recently joined the workforce and am really looking forward to living alone. My office is in the heart of Bangalore (MG Road) and was looking for a 1BHK in the surrounding areas. I know it’ll be expensive but I’m willing to make that sacrifice for some independence. However, I keep hearing from my friends and family about how a woman living alone isn’t ideal because of the problems of safety in this city- so I’m not very sure of this decision now. And especially for women...

    Lack of dustbins on streets

I have just moved to Bangalore from Bombay. First off, what amazing weather have i landed into. For a humid seaside dweller, this is vacation weather. Getting to the topic. We are residing in RMV extension which looks like a nice, well maintained locality with wide roads, wide footpaths and lots of trees. We take our dogs out for a walk daily, and we pickup after them. But there are absolutely no bins! I have walked up and down 80 ft road, into the parallel lanes but nothing at...

Does it get really cold in the morning. Or is it just my flat.

I live in a 5 story building, my flat is on 2nd floor, there is no scope of sunlight. As it is surrounded by other buildings. Could this be the reason for it to get so cold or is the just the weather that is cold in the morning. Or it could be some water seepage somewhere. I don't see any water seepage appearing on walls or ceiling. Makes really difficult to get up and going in the morning.

    Scammed by Jodhpuri Furniture HSR

Story: I visited jodhpuri furniture shop in hsr on december and placed an order for a bed, with the assurance that it would be delivered within 10 days. The total cost was ₹30,000. I made the payment in two parts: ₹15,000 was transferred via UPI to the sales representative Nabin’s personal number because the shop didn’t have a QR code, and the remaining ₹15,000 was paid via credit card After 10 days, the bed wasn’t delivered. I called the shop, and every single time, the sales representative Nabin assured...
