House with some added security My female friend is looking for a 1BHK flat in a serviced apartment/standalone building. Her first preference is a building with a password based entry/exit system. An app based approval system for guests or delivery partners like MyGate would be an added advantage. Help me out with some building names. Why is be3r so damn expensive here? Bangalore prides itself as being the city of breweries but the prices of a decent can of beer are just extortionate here. A single 500 mL can of KF Ultra is now ₹180. Not even an imported beer but locally made stuff. Lot of other versions of KF, Tuborg etc seem extremely watered down and like drinking flavoured water. Wine shops are now stacking tons of Gen-Z focused beer like Geist, Bira, Woodpecker, etc which have fancy packaging but the product itself is just average. The cheaper beers ie... 1 19 replies

Something crazyy happened yesterday Hello Bangalore! I moved to Bangalore a few days ago for my internship, and yesterday something happened. My friend and I went to Truffles in Indiranagar for dinner. On the way back, we took Yulu bikes. But my Yulu only had 13-15 km range left, and my phone has this issue where it switches off at 30-40% battery. Around 10:30 PM, my phone switched off in the middle of the road, and I didn’t know the way to go. At a red light, there was an uncle next to... 1 20 replies

Why Bachelor tenants are not preferred? When I look for an apartment they always ask "family or bachelor ". After this chances of getting that place reduces once I say bachelor. But why is it so? One reason I know: because bachelors get drunk, or some drugs, will fight with others and create a scene in that condition. Some might bring different girls or boys every day. Now not all are like this! But based on my observation, family people fight a lot more often. Fights between husband and wife can be too loud to... 1 13 replies
I've turned about my opinion of this city(in a good way) Upon coming to blr for work 3 years ago I was pretty excited. I'm someone who's spent a good chunk of my life in big metro cities in India. Initially I didn't like it at all. I did end up in a decent flat and am getting paid pretty well too (happy with my job touchwood). The city became really boring really really quickly. I asked friends where to go to and what to do, even people that have lived here their entire lives. They suggested the usual boring... 3 2 replies

Sometimes, It Just Takes 6 Seconds To Get A Life (From the Archives) Took a 2 hour long nap this afternoon after a long time. Woke up and as always, checked WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook, in that order. A friend had shared the song ‘Give Me Some Sunshine’ from 3 Idiots on Facebook. I listened to it and suddenly I got a panic attack. Years of counselling has taught me how to deal with panic attacks. But this happened after a long time. I couldn’t help but wonder what had triggered it. I know it was the song, but why? And then... 1 11 replies
