Why does everyone call themselves middle class in India? I’m from Mumbai and I’ve heard ‘we’re a middle class family’ from my parents all the time growing up. Not a humble brag, but I don’t think people who can afford a 6cr house in Mumbai (Chembur suburb, albeit) are exactly middle class. Honestly, Why is the south so conservative about clothing? I myself am from Andhra Pradesh but grew up in both Andhra and Telangana ( Hyderabad). With an obvious exception of Bangalore, ( probably because of its cosmopolitan atmosphere) literally everywhere, south India is very conservative about clothing. Tamil Nadu is like incredibly extreme when it comes to it. Hyderabad, chennai both the metropolitan cities are very conservative interms of clothing.
