Are Indians aware that their kids will suffer in this highly competitive country?

I mean, in this country, everything is a competition—from education to jobs, literally everything. We've already suffered enough, right? Yet, people still have kids, making them go through the same struggles—staying up late for exams, dealing with blood-sucking jobs with minimal salary. Even though we know how tough it is, we still choose to have kids. It's almost like taking revenge by bringing them into this competitive world.

How’s your WFH going? Still enjoying it?

I’m a developer with a permanent WFH, and while it sounds good, it’s honestly killing me. The main issue? Very, very low socializing. My weekdays are basically: ☑️ Wake up, sit in my isolated room ☑️ Work whole day ☑️ After work, call friends + walking + mobile browsing ☑️ Repeat. The only time I actually go out is on weekends—to explore places, meet friends, or go on dates sometimes. But Monday-Friday? Absolute boring. The problem is, my company is really good, so I can’t even think of leaving....

Do you guys get annoyed when relatives/family-friends show up at your home unannounced?

Being born into a nuclear family, I really find it annoying when relatives regardless of how close they are to my family. Couldn't they just text 30mins prior so that we could be more presentable!? When you expect all kinds of formalities visiting someone's home, shouldn't you have the basic decency to ask if we're welcome or not,at least let them know of one's arrival? I feel like these people lack decency. What's your take on this?

What is the allure of being/having a Trophy wife ?

My wives parents have been looking for a bride for my BIL through AM setup. They have been trying for over a year but nothing clicked so far, so they are kind of getting desperate as BIL is about to cross 30. The most recent proposal they have come across is of a women whose parents have declared that she has no interest in working after marriage, have enquired if there will be maids available to handle the household chores and cooking and have said in jest that their...

    How is obscenity defined

I was reading an article by The Hindu where this is mentioned "The IT Rules do not completely ban swearing, sex or nudity; they instead require that shows and films that feature these - along with substance abuse and violence - be rated for older audiences. Apart from the IT Rules, the advisory points to other laws to warn streaming providers against content that features obscenity. "Attention is also invited to the provisions of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986; Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023; the Protection...

How do some men love someone and marry somebody else ? What is the thought process like?

My ex (33M) and I (28F) told each other that we still loved each other in June 2024, the same month he married someone else. He told me he had to marry somebody his parents approved of , had to be from same community, background etc. I get that he is a bad person for what he put me through, but how does he live with himself ? How does he sleep next to a woman knowing he still loves someone else. The wife also knows about his love...

Am I in the wrong? I think people are straight psychotic.

So, [reddit.com/r/InstaCelebsGossip/comments/1iu63vt/comment/mdycwy3/?context=3](http://reddit.com/r/InstaCelebsGossip/comments/1iu63vt/comment/mdycwy3/?context=3) This post content is about a man making a cliché tasteless joke on Instagram, and whatnot. >A man made a **cliché, tasteless joke** under a woman’s post teaching Japanese—he asked, *"What do we call 'You're Flat' in Japanese?"* The response? Redditors **leaked his identity, harassed him, and even contacted his university.** But the issues is that these people are straight up doxxing him and trying to ruin his life by contacting public authorities. The joke was immature and unnecessary, but the response, doxxing, harassment, and contacting his...

Started falling for my friend's best friend

I (25, M) am flatmates with my school friend (25, M). He has a best friend (25, F). They met in first year of college. They were in the same college and I was in a different college. Honestly, they are quite close, and she comes over frequently—sometimes even staying over when it's too late for her to go back. I don’t mind her coming over. In fact, I really like her presence. It’s fun and cheerful, and every time she comes over, it feels like ghar me raunak...

    Greatest Indian Boy Band?

So I just came across this news—Savan Kotecha (the guy behind One Direction, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd hits) is partnering with Republic Records to form India's first global pop boy band. They’re calling it the biggest talent hunt in the country, and the goal is to create a group that can stand alongside BTS, Backstreet Boys, or 1D. It made me think—why hasn’t India produced an international pop group before? We have massive music industries (Bollywood, indie, regional), insane talent, and a population that already stans K-pop and...
