How practical is the flat transformation done in the movie 'Wake up Sid' ?

https://preview.redd.it/cwahua6hhqje1.png?width=925&format=png&auto=webp&s=262981545a5a9fcdca97d5723f235fbdc16c7c3f Is it a good idea to rent an unfurnished, unkempt flat and furnish it over time? Many people move out after a year or two, so is it worth investing in new or second-hand furniture and décor, especially when sharing expenses with a flatmate? How do you typically handle furnishing and moving when relocating to a new place? Also, do landlords generally allow tenants to paint the walls?

    Appalling state of footpaths

This is the state of footpaths in Marol, where I live. Encroached, ugly, filthy as hell. I sprained my back walking on these horrible footpaths. I’ve complained on the BMC website, Twitter (marking relevant ward profile) and now I’m posting here. Enough is enough. I’m not going to rest until this is fixed. Please suggest ways to escalate this to whoever is responsible. FYI Muraji Patel is the elected representative on this ward.

Thinking of shifting from Bangalore to Mumbai/Navi Mumbai. How is life nowadays in Mumbai compared to 2010-2014?

Hi All. I used to live in Mumbai during 2010-2014 and absolutely loved it. I moved to Bangalore in 2020 and was ok here. But now it is becoming unbearable. There are stupid local people all around and cab drivers and auto wallahs try to kill you. Local neighbors have turned stalkers and question me regarding my life whenever I step out. I hate this place now except for the weather. I am not from Karnataka but decided to settle here. But the local folks are just unbearably weird,...

Rent a bike or Walk around/autos?

Me and my partner are planning for a trip to Mumbai and we have a full day for ourselves before others join us. We are planning the whole day around Colaba (Art galleries, Market, streets and Marine Drive). I want to rent a bike for a day but worried if parking will be an issue. Is it better to walk around or rely on autos? Or is bike a better option? Also open to any suggestions for cafes and other stuff we should check out in and around Colaba....

Getting chased by guys on 2 wheelers.

This hasn't happened once or twice, this has happened multiple times. I have lived my whole life ein Mumbai and found it pretty much safe always but since the past 1 year, I have been chased (during the night time around, not even very late, around 9-10 pm) by boys driving a scooter or bike while I go for my walks or returning back from home. It's crazy, they see you walking, then they slow their vehicle, they keep looking back, then once you cross them they drive with...

im 18m boy like slim, fair and weak too, was on a late-night train alone and noticed a guy (27-28m) staring at me. at first, i thought it was nothing, but then we made eye contact, and he winked at me, touched his crotch, and made an obvious gesture like "chalta hai kya" diagonal nod type like u know what I'm talking about. i wasn’t sure still, but he kept looking at me, then he took a step back pretending to blend into the crowd but peeking at me...

    Mosquito problem in sub urbs

I killed 50 mosquitos with electric raquet. They are coming in waves. All doors windows closed. Mumbai mosquitos are stealthy and improvised. Are they trained to battle with humans? They are certainly better than any city in dodging and training. How you all cope with them?
