Which is why I to drive very carefully if a vehicle troubles me on road by honking I let them pass, stay 10 feets far from autowalas and do not engage in such idiocy, believe me it’s not worth it to prove if you are right or not. Traffic police only care for their chalans and want to harass genuine people. So gulp your egos and let such idiots be on their way, let their pea sized brain be pea sized!

For someone who seems to have done some research into the state and it's people, surely it's not difficult to see that the stereotypes of anti Hindi/N Indian attitudes associated with the southern states such as TN and KA don't apply to Kerala?

I live in the UK over a decade, I face racism mostly from fellow Indians than white or other Asian people. The only reason is I'm bit darker, not knowing Hindi. Whenever I say I don't know Hindi, either they say "are you a Sri Lankan"/"LTTE" or some Hindi slurs which I can't understand.

I am aware of his types. They never pick on someone who is of the same size. Always picking on children and elderly to show his masculinity.

Most men I know in my life are problem solvers and logical thinkers. If you tell them you have XYZ problem they will try to come up with a solution.
This translates poorly and comes off as annoying to some and also may come off as giving unsolicited advice.
Some people don't want solutions but they just want someone to listen to their problems and be there for them.
Its a problem I struggle with a lot too. Every fibre in your dna is trying to solve the issue but overtime you learn the just listen and just listen , nothing more.
Since there are two people involved in this equation why don't you ask , later when she is in a better mental space what she specifically means and try to work towards it. You can also express it is difficult for you to do so but will attempt to try your best.
Just my take offcourse, everyone has their own and you should make your own choices in life.
