Bluetooth Mouse choppy on macos I recently baught a mac mini m4 512gb and baught a bluetooth mouse to avoid using the dongle in usb c ports. The mouse came with 2.4gz dongle and Bluetooth 5. while using the mouse with dongle it works super smooth with my 144hz display but the moment I switch to bluetooth 5 the smoothness drops to half of the dongle and not only that, if during the usage I left my mouse idle for some time or if mac mini sleeps, the frames of cursor drops to somewhere... 3 1 replies
With the support of MacOS Ventura likely ending this year, what can be done with an old MacBook Pro 2017? Sonoma - files getting corrupted in finder? Since I updated to Sonoma from Monterey, my mac hard drive/icloud drive have been having issues with corrupted files. Most of my files were invisible, so I was having to put them into folders and then move them out of folders to get them to show up again. Also, finder wouldn't let me delete any folders at all, saying that there were items that couldn't be found (error code -43), but if I went into those folders, I could delete all the files separately, it just wouldn't let me... 3 0 replies
MBA M1 to Mac Mini M4 I just wanted to ask if I migrate my apps and files from my MBAM1 to a Mac Mini M4, will my Chrome profiles also migrate seamlessly? Specifically, will I stay logged in to the accounts, as if nothing has changed, or will it reset like a fresh Chrome installation? P.S. Updating OS after a Time Machine recovery I’m wondering if anyone can help me please. I’ve had to recover my iMac (2017) from a rather old Time Machine back up, so I currently have OS 10.13 (High Sierra) on it. I’m having to create a bootable USB so I can update to a much newer OS. But the bit I’m after some advice on is this. Can I jump straight to macOS 13 (Ventura) or do I have to install each of the other 4 systems in turn between 10.13 and 13 first? Is there a KVM switch that doesn't use DisplayLink software for Macbook M1/M2/M3? I currently have DisplayLink Wavlink USB Hub that connects 2 monitors for my setup. I have 2 cables which I have to unplug/plug manually to switch between my personal workstation and work computer. Sequoia asking for permissions every time I open my web browser. Hey folks, So, I recently upgraded to MacOS Sequoia, and I’ve been running into some annoying issues with apps that worked just fine before. Specifically, I’m having trouble with MS Edge. Every time I open it, I get this popup asking for permission to access data from other apps. I already granted this permission, so I’m not sure why it keeps bugging me! Remap the § key to act as AltGr (switch to diacritics) It took me a bit to adapt to the MacOS keyboard on my new MB Pro with the ISO keyboard, but literally the only thing I could not adapt to was the lack of "that specific keyboard layout that is insanely good" for my language. On Linux and Windows, the layout I use is basically the US layout with the AltGr transforming some of the keys into their diacritic counterparts. Help with "The file can't be found." popup every I wake my Mac Air M2 I deleted several apps I had downloaded over the past few months on my MacBook Air M2 a few days ago, including some default installed apps by Apple. Since then, every time I wake my Mac from sleep or unlock the screen, a popup appears saying, “The file can’t be found.” I’ve checked for the remaining files of the deleted apps, but no success. Any wifi experts? I have a borrowed 13” MacBook Pro from a few years back running macOS 11.7.1 It occasionally has a problem trying to turn on wifi when it is first booted. But it eventually does turn on and I can then connect to wifi without any problems. Yesterday was definitely different. When I clicked on the wifi symbol, the blue switch in the menu bar was turned on but the wifi symbol was showing that it was searching for a network connection. Momentary disconnection of SSD in MacBook I am using a Sandisk Extreme Portable 1TB. After an hour or two, the drive Randomly seems to be ejected for like 1 Millisecond or something, and then mounts back again. Not in a specific period but atleast 1 or two times after an hour or two. Its pretty strange and harmful for the data right...Any solutions to that?
