How to Restrict Stage Manager to the Main Display on MacBook Pro? I use Stage Manager on my MacBook Pro, which is connected to two vertical external monitors. I prefer Stage Manager to work only on my MacBook Pro’s main display, as I need the windows on my external monitors to remain open at all times. Is there a way to configure this? I understand that I can maximize the window to keep it always visible on the external screen, but the issue is that maximizing the window causes the app to occupy the entire screen. Did they remove the ability to gradually ramp up a video's speed in iMovie? I could swear you used to be able to manually adjust the duration of a speed ramp in iMovie (so that the speed change is gradual), but now I cant figure it out for the life of me. Xbox Cloud Gaming with KBM I am currently trying to play fortnite via xbox cloud gaming with my keyboard and mouse (mac) and there is no option to connect it, i tried googling it but it was all stuff for windows pcs, but i dont own one. Outdated iMac I have a 2012 iMac that’s of course been stuck a couple OSes behind for a few years now. It seems like this year might be its last, as notifications trickle in from all my apps that they’re going to be unsupported for my OS soon. Goodbye Spotify, goodbye Steam, goodbye Google Chrome… I don’t know that much about computers. i want to sync desktops but nothing else i have a number of macs (2 mba, 1 mbp, 1 imac; all silicon) and i want them to sync their desktops. it seems (?) that if i enable desktop sync, i have to also enable general iCloud syncing. i can tolerate the Documents folder syncing if there is no way around it, but i absolutely do not want the entirety of my \~1TB iCloud drive syncing to my local machines. im fine for them to not be accessible at all, but at most i would want an "on... 4 1 replies

Muting app (game) audio when switching apps on macOS? Is there a way to do this? Basically while gaming, I sometime cmd+tab to watch videos, however the game audio continues to play instead of muting. This was never the case in Win 11. In MacOS Sequoia, is there a way to lock windows into a Split View-like fullscreen mode but with more layout flexibility? Sharing folders with Family AND backing up those folders… help. What best practices to you use with your family to manage shared family folders (we have about a hundred (including sub-folders)) AND properly back them up with TimeMachine/ Carbon copy cloner/ any true backup system onto an external - not just syncing them in icloud? **Context:** My spouse and I both travel/ commute with work alot.
