Is there any sort of "official" or widely accepted consensus on what the "authentic" interpretation/interpretations and commentaries of the Shreemad Bhagavad Gita are?

Is there a conspiracy behind this?

Premanand Ji has brought about a revolution in last few years in making Sanatan relevant for millions of young men and women. This smacks of a conspiracy!

How are different deities/gods/goddesses an "embodiment" of God?

I am a Sikh and I feel that there are many parallels between the two religions. I've always believed that Hinduism is a monotheistic religion despite the mention of many Gods/Goddesses. I am curious what these deities represent? Are they used to describe different qualities of God?

    Onions & Garlic

Actually, I'm a Tibetan Buddhist, not a Hindu, but our dietary recommendations for practicing Kriya tantras are almost identical. So I decided that I'd have a better chance of getting an adequate answer here rather than in r/Buddhism which is occupied by people with very secular views. So onions and garlic, are we advised against eating them fresh or absolutely in any form? I'm asking this because you can find onion or garlic powder in industrially produced food where you wouldn't expect to find them at all. It's a...

Anyone know devi Panaiveriyamman / Taalavaasini?

I recently heard about a local devi of palm trees from TN. Does anyone know much about her or if she has any shrines/temples in TN? Palm trees have always held a place in my heart and I would like to visit her someday.

Why so much hate against Rajputs? People stuck in propaganda?

Why Hindus in general hate Rajputs so much? Like especially RW guys, cause I've seen lots and lots of RW people hating on Rajputs, and its been more specific since a few months which community spreads more hate against them. Anyways, their usual point is, \>"Rajputs lost wars", while they won most, as I've made a [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rajputana/comments/1iigzxm/guys_hear_me_out_its_big/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) about that already, **they won 98 out of 144 wars**. \>"They didn't support Marathas in war", while not a single community supported them in war against invaders, in-fact later on Marathas attacked...

Curious about Hinduism's claim on morality vis à vis religion

While reading a book titled "Moral Literacy, Or, How to Do the Right Thing" by Colin McGinn, I came across this series of statements: "A less abstract preliminary question concerns morality and religion. Although I won't be appealing to divine revelation or command in this book, I don't intend my conclusions to be anti-religious. Rather, I mean to be neutral on religious questions, in the sense that both theists and atheists will be addressed. But I should state what I take the relation between morality and religion to be....

A Sharp Thought Provoking Poem by me on today's hinduism

This is a highly sharp powerful critique of superficial religiosity, hypocrisy, and the surface level performative aspects of faith without any actual self reading that has become our standard in society. This is written with 0 intention to offend any other sampradaya - it's written by me with a vaishnav mindset though I am a smarta. It may seem offensive to some Please let me know what do you think about it : Reader Descretion regarding societal triggers are advised. ।0। पूरी हुई प्राण प्रतिष्ठा , अनिवार्य & आलौकिक...

    Bhagbat Gita and Freewill, Determinism

I was wondering if Krishna is all-knower, then he knew about the future that Arjuna will lift his bow after hearing to him and he will fight. So, in Gita, Krishna says that you can choose to fight and be my weapon and achieve greatness by following your dharma or you can labeled as a coward for whole of your life.If Krishna is God, that means he is all-knower, he knows about the future, that means he knows that Arjuna will choose the path of warrior. So, does it...
