Today is the day Bhishma Pitamaha gave the world the Vishnu Sahasranama, or the 1000 Names of Vishnu

Our scriptures arise from questions posed to learned teachers. When Valmiki asks Narada about the ideal man, Narada replies to him about Sri Ramachandra which gave us the Ramayana. When Arjuna asks Krishna to vanquish his sorrow, we are given the Bhagavad Gita. When Nachiketa asks Yama about the ultimate, we are given the Katha Upanishad. Similarly, Yudhishtira asked Bhishma, who is an authorized teacher as per the above verse, 6 questions, 1. Who is the One Deity in the world? 2. What is the sole and Supreme Goal?...

What is the difference between right ear sound after meditation/sadhna vs left ear sound? Reaching a positive or negative State?

I have experienced these ringing sounds after mediation from both ears after different sessions. The right one comes after you're feeling more satvic, happy, positive and justice etc and is indicated you're doing it right? The left one comes from fear, negativity etc? Its been a while since I've heard the right ear sound continuously, it doesn't disturb you but you can hear it when you're sitting idle. I'm unbothered by these things now but I just wanted to know.

Here are some of the key creation narratives:   1. Nasadiya Sukta (Rig Veda - Hymn of Creation) * One of the earliest and most philosophical accounts, found in the Rig Veda (10.129). * It describes the origin of the universe as emerging from a state of non-existence and existence, where neither death nor...

    What is logic behind this?

Can someone's words really alter the fate of someone like those curses used by Rishis in scripture and if it is true, what's the meaning of karma? If someone does good karma in this life why does he have to suffer for the karma he did in a previous life by that body which is already destroyed? One more question this one is stupid, today I heard Mom and Dad talking about my results as I failed my previous 2 CA attempts, so my dad was telling Mom that...

How to ask forgiveness from Ram ji and Hanuman ji? I am in a bad health shape and cannot visit temple right now.

Just some days back I chanted Bajrang Baan as my mother's health was not good and mine wasn't too. But it seems it was too powerful/ seem to have angered Hanumanji. How can I ask for forgiveness?
