Questions about Bhakti Yoga and Nyaya~Vaisheshika Darshans.

I am a Wikipedia guy, and encounters such topics while surfacing many things. So if anything I quote is wrong, please feel free to correct me. There are described to be 5 Bhavas(affective essence) by which you can have a personal relation to God. One of bhava is called Madhurya Bhava in which a person sees himself as a lover of their deity. One example people often state is how Srimati Radharani loves Lord Krishna as God or how Sant Mirabai viewed Lord Krishna as her lover. **My question...

Getting sleepy while doing Rama Raksha Stotra.

So I used to do Rama Raksha Stotra every full moon, but since January I have started doing it daily three times. I got sick a few days ago, so instead of singing it like usual, I did it mentally and have been having a very hard time staying awake while doing it. Could anyone tell me what I could do to avoid this? My throat is still not in a condition to verbally chant.

    Looking for a Podcast Partner.

Hi, Podcasting enthusiasts of Reddit!! I'm a 34 year old in Delhi,India who has been wanting to start a podcast about Spirituality for a long time. I'm ready to jump in but not sure how the podcast would be with only me as a host. I think my podcast idea could benefit from having a second person so we can bounce ideas and have discussions on Hinduism, Meditation, Religion. I just want to find a great partner through the internets. In the beginning, I'm just looking for someone to...

What is the accepted truth of Buddhism??

In Shiva Purana there is a story where an ascetic asks Lord Vishnu "Lord why did you bring Buddha into this world and created a confusion ?" Lord Vishnu replies "I created Buddha because the Dharma has been inflitrated by outsiders so I have created my own enemy from myself. He will criticise the Vedas, ridicule the rituals of Brahmin, deny the Upanishads and hence would cleanse the Dharma." Then there is a dialogue between Buddha and Vishnu where Buddha asks Lord Vishnu to issue the duties that he...

Is Standing on One Leg Considered Inappropriate in Hinduism?

https://preview.redd.it/ut7xlp5anxhe1.png?width=637&format=png&auto=webp&s=8843ee04c1a806e52559d32760660d1a35971c19 My grandma always insists that I shouldn't stand on one leg. I \[35M\] sometimes do it when I’m too tired or just have nothing to lean on. One day, I was standing like this, and she told me it’s not good to stand that way. But in my house, I’ve seen many pictures of Lord Krishna and other deities in a similar posture. Is there any religious or cultural reason behind this? Is it considered inauspicious, or is this just a local belief? Would love to hear your...

What gets logged in our karma log book: Bad/ ill thoughts or bad actions

Hey everyone, as a Sanatani mostly all of us are told that god has a Karma log book for each one of us on this planet. My question is: Do bad/ ill thoughts also get logged in it or just karma? I would like to explain with an example: Suppose a guy, thinks of something ill but brushes off the thought knowing it is bad. Will this thought also get logged in our logbook or if a person executes that ill thought then only its going to be recorded?...

    Hinduism and others dharmic religion

Buddhists, Jains, and Sikhs often claim that their religions have no connection to Hinduism—not even a common origin or the status of a sister religion. Some even accuse Hinduism of being a copy-paste of their traditions. So, as Hindus, should we simply stop saying they are part of Hinduism or brothers ? We know that Buddha, Rishabhanath, and Guru Nanak were born into Hindu families before rejecting Hinduism and founding their own religions. Buddha and Thirthankaras and Sikhs Guru even they denies of Brahman existence, recognise existence of ours...
