    prayers for academic obstacles?

I'm a college student and currently facing a lot of mental stress due to some unexpected incidents in my academic career, due to which I am at risk of losing my scholarship. I am currently undergoing all the necessary means to remediate the situation, but I also want to seek guidance and reassurance from Maa Saraswati and Lord Ganesha during this time as I am too scared to talk to my parents. Any relevant mantra/stotra for them or any other deity whose blessings and help I may seek would...

Lord Ganesh idol fell on my head

A strange thing just happened to me that has got me thinking. I was looking at some farmland out of a window where a small Ganesh idol was sitting on top of the window frame. He ended up falling and hitting me on the head. It was a mostly funny situation, but are there any thoughts on what (if anything) this could mean?

    Prayer advice

Hello everyone, hope everyone’s healthy. I have been waiting for my immigration status to change since a week and I’ve been feeling extreme anxiety lately. Since there’s not much I can do at my end, could anyone please suggest a prayer or mantra to manifest a quick and positive decision as I can’t wait to go see my family again… currently I pray to hanuman ji and recite hanuman chalisa to feel better. Any suggestions are welcome. 🙏

Can a Shaiva pray in a Vaishnava Temple?

I live in a place that there are no Shaivite temples, but a few Vaishnava temples, I never went to a Vaishnava temple, can I worship Lord Shiva there? Also if I go to a Vaishnava temple should I remove my Rudraksha? Maha Shivaratri is coming and I can't miss it.

Unrelenting Attack(s) on Hinduism From Academia : An Example (Please Read)

[https://www.thehindu.com/society/how-the-ramayan-tv-show-helped-shape-a-singular-nationwide-hindu-identity/article69202807.ece](https://www.thehindu.com/society/how-the-ramayan-tv-show-helped-shape-a-singular-nationwide-hindu-identity/article69202807.ece) *"How the Ramayan TV show helped shape a singular nationwide Hindu identity"* The above is the title of an article published today in **The Hindu**. The article is actually a gist of a full fledged research paper published by the "**National Bureau of Economic Research**" one of the research wings of the **University of Cambridge**. But what's wrong with it? It's just a simple research paper, right?! **WRONG!** This is just ONE OF the many such academic papers that are used to malign Hindus and Hinduism as a whole,...

Hinduism was allowed to emerge and flourish because ancient India had great freedom of speech (to express even extremely "offensive" thoughts and ideas)

**India experienced some of the highest levels of societal development during the first millennium BCE.** [**Vedanta**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vedanta#History)**,** [**Hinduism**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinduism#History)**,** [**Hindu-atheism**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_atheism#Historical_development)**,** [**Buddhism**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism#History)**,** [**Jainism**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jainism#History)**, and** [**various other heterodox Indian philosophies**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_philosophy) **were allowed to emerge and flourish, shaping India and its diversity for millennia.** While there might have been occasional suppression of ideas, there was generally a space for people to openly argue and debate and to fully express themselves even if their ideas were not exactly "politically correct" according to a lot of the powerful elite; otherwise, none of the aforementioned schools of...

What EXACTLY is TANTRA and how does it differ from Bhagwad Geeta teachings?

What is tantric Vidya, giving sacrifice and do people who do tantra get moksha? How does it differ from Gita teachings? Does Vishnu/Krishna accept it? Why and why not? Is Krishna worshipped in Tantra? I don’t suppose it’s Satvik then why is Krishna or Vishnu worshipped in it? Why is Shiva? Why is Hanuman? Krishna said he lives in all living beings so why is sacrifice of an animal okay in tantra? How is different from Satvik and what is better? (I AM NOT INTO TANTRA OR SACRIFICE OF...

Suggestion for those wanting to understand Upanishads/Advaita Vedanta

Hey everyone, If you're looking for an insightful yet beginner-friendly introduction to Hinduism, I highly recommend the web series **Upanishad Ganga** available on the **Chinmaya Channel** on YouTube. Originally in Hindi (with English subtitles), the series is now also being released with dubs in South Indian languages—so be sure to recommend it to your non-Hindi-speaking friends! Produced under the guidance of Swami Tejomayananda, this series beautifully presents the essence of Hindu philosophy, culture, and wisdom through engaging dramatizations and stories. It explores key concepts from the Upanishads, Vedanta, Dharma,...

What do the following lines mean from the Shiv Kailash bhajan

Was just listening to the Shiv Kailash bhajan by Rishab Rikhiram Sharma on YouTube and came across a couple of lines that I’m not entirely sure I understand the meaning of. Shivji Nu sajda Chola te dora Gauran Sajda Dushala, o Bhole Baba https://youtu.be/Onb6_bRJ0Bw?si=f9hKLtkWsq9dJhKH The rest of the song I’ve translated as: Shiv is the resident of the Kailasha’s He is the king of the Dhaulidhar range He can defeat crisis There is no end to his Kailasha’s There is no end to his Maya <and then the lines...
