Wholesome (?) experience at cubbon park today

I go to cubbon park for reading on weekends and today was the same. I was just sitting alone and reading when someone approached me and asked me to look behind me. I did and there was a person holding a "You are amazing" sign. They then wished me a nice day and left. I would have felt good about it except that the entire interaction was being recorded and that makes me feel like I just became part of some kind of reel/shorts (I don't use instagram so...

Kent Water filter AMC exorbitant costs in Bangalore

Hey fellow Bangaloreans! 🚰💧 Just got slapped with a ridiculous AMC quote for my Kent Excel Plus water purifier. They want ₹9,200 annually - which feels like daylight robbery! Here’s the breakdown that might help others: My specific Kent Excel Plus details: • Current Unit Price: ₹19,000 on Amazon • AMC Quote: ₹9,200 (which seems way overpriced)

    Zepto is being a Scumbag/cheat

I have notice this quiet often that despite purchasing a Zepto pass which has free delivery on any purchases above 99 the free delivery pass has to be clicked to avoid any delivery charge or surge charge. How many of you have noticed this and have been cheated by Zepto. So basically these companies don't care for its staff and their customer alike. How can it's founder get peaceful sleep when they fleece customers and staff alike.

    Which area to prefer?

Hi all, will be relocating to bangalore shortly. Looking for places to live, the following seem like places where there is affordability: Sarjapur Chandapura North bangalore (near and north of airport) . Which place would you prefer? Priorities include: 1) accessibility to hospitals (have old parents who might move in 2/3 years later) 2) relatively decent roads and infra (I know this is an ask given that none of these places are in urban banglore) 3) safety for women and children, and water supply. Appreciate your help, Thank you!...

    It's hard to exist!!!

I’m a 32-year-old male. Before the COVID lockdown, my life was simple and peaceful. I wasn’t wealthy, but I lived without debts or financial stress. However, when the lockdown started, I became isolated due to work-from-home (WFH) conditions and boredom. To pass the time, I began playing online poker for fun. Unfortunately, this habit turned into a nightmare. Initially, I lost only a few thousand rupees, but I started chasing my losses and became a compulsive gambling addict. This led me to take loans, max out credit cards, and...

The tale of a lost phone and an array of awesome empathetic people including an *AUTO DRIVER*.

TLDR: Last Wednesday was one of the most challenging yet wholesome day in my life. I lost my phone in a prebooked bus, but it led me to not just one, but an array of kind, empathetic people - including - surprise surprise - an auto driver. I got help, kindness, discount and eventually my phone too. Now the long story. I'm one of your run-of-the-mill Malayali IT guy living in Bangalore for the past 6-7 years who can speak basic, broken Kannada. I was travelling from my hometown...

When Street foods are so expensive ? Irrespective of Area in Bengaluru

What the hell happening with Street food vendors to price their menu at a damn expensive rates Like few years back it was nominal and mostly depended on the Quality and Area where it was operating. Now shops even at non main roads and interior streets are selling at exorbitant prices. 1. They don't provide Quality Foods 2. They operate at small location mostly without dining So rent shouldn't be a factor 3. Mostly run by a Native owner with cooks and labour from north , so even shops...

Live reason for this linguistic differences

So this guy from some food delivery app comes into our boys PG after following the location his app. Now the lady has placed this location mistakenly it seems. Delivery guy doesn't know Hindi or English. His phone language was also Kannada. The customer doesn't understand Kannada. So one guy who understands both languages talks to this girl on call and tells her that the location is wrong on the app and the location that she has shared on whatsapp is 6km away, so it's not feasible to this...
