New to Trading Good Morning or Afternoon for wherever you are in the world. I’m a complete beginner to trading and I’m currently gathering information on trading. Could anyone recommend YouTubers, mentors and even programmes that are best for trading. I’m currently using meta trader 4 on a demo account and have made about 5 pound from some random trades lol 3 4 replies
Trading Indices, futures I used to be an active day trader trading the indexes, ES, NQ, RTY, and YM. I don't have the time to day trade anymore due to life changes but I still love to swing trade and invest. I'd prefer to be able to "lazy" trade, buy the dip etc., for these, but paying $40 for the futures accounts on Tradestation doesn't really make sense anymore since I don't even make 1 trade per day anymore. I also want to be able to buy and sell stocks. Is there... 4 4 replies
Key Levels good or bad? I believe having key levels is one of the most important factors in defining your personal edge as entry point or target price regardless of how you identify them. It could be Fibonacci, trendlines, Gann, specific high/low points, or even candle timeframes. What are your thoughts on this? 2 14 replies
Asus Zenbook S14 for 2x4k monitors Hi, I wonder if my laptop is capable of running two 4k monitors at full resolution or alternatively a monster monitor as the Samsung Odyssey Neo 57" at full resolution? I don't play games so it'll mostly be used for productivity work, trading, web browsing, YouTube and movies. Refresh rate is not that important for most of what I do, however it would be nice to at least have 120hz for movies. But it's not a must. Is my computer capable of this? Zenbook S 14 UX5406 Copilot+ PC... 4 0 replies

S&P 500: Is It Just a Few Heavyweights Carrying the Market? I just came across an interesting chart that I’d like to share\^. On Friday, the S&P 500 rallied 1.26%, trimming its weekly loss to 0.5%. While this rebound might seem strong from a price perspective, a deeper look at market breadth paints a different picture. The number of new lows actually increased on Friday, while the number of new highs remained unchanged and far below the number of new lows. This suggests that the rally was largely driven by a few heavyweight stocks in the index, rather than reflecting... 4 3 replies
That's it. Hello, I would like to share my story. In 2020 I tried investing for the first time. I had a great run, earned 15k in 2 weeks, then Lost 30k in the next month. Total: -15k. I took a break. Decided to give it one more try in 2024. The start was also great - I made 10k in one month, then lost 20k on the next month. Total: -10k. Over two attempts, and being convinced to never give up and always chase my dreams, I Lost 25k. I... 1 0 replies

new full time day traders Long story short... After studying and paper trading for over 1.5 years and funding my account back in August I went full time about 4 weeks ago. Anyways, I just want to know if there's any other new full-time traders that would be interested in starting some sort of private group live chat during trading hours for this year? Believe me, I was a little worried about quitting my job I've been at for 8 years but hey.... I felt confident enough to do it and you only live... 1 6 replies
Where to get historical options data? I’m having trouble finding reasonably priced services for historical options data. A lot of services either don’t have Greeks, or have Greeks but only have EOD data, or have Greeks and intraday info but cost $1k per symbol per year of data. I’ve tried Thetadata and Orats but their APIs seem really hard to work with as their endpoints don’t allow for entire option chain retrieval so you have to do it piece by piece. ThetaData so far has had most of what I need. I need at least... 5 0 replies
What is the simplest app to use for options trading in the UK? Hi all, What is the simplest app to use for options trading in the UK? I'm new to trading and starting to trade options in practice mode on IBKR but it doesn't seem the most user friendly! Is this the most user friendly options trading app available in the UK? Beginner trader seeking advice: tips, knowledge, and guidance to build a solid foundation. Hi everyone, I’m 17 years old, in my final year of high school, and I’m passionate about becoming a trader for an investment bank in the future. I plan to pursue a master’s degree to achieve this goal, but I want to start building my knowledge and experience now. My dad was a very profitable futures trader on his own, and so was able to talk a lot with him and trading has now fascinated me for years. Over the past few months, I’ve been diving into the world... 2 3 replies
Updated News For Getting Payment In Eagle Bancorp’s $13.7M Investor Settlement Hey guys, I already posted about this settlement, but since we got some updates, I decided to post it again. It’s about the loan scandal they had a few years ago. For newbies: back in 2022, Eagle Bancorp was accused of failing to include undisclosed loans made to family trusts and other related parties in the balances between 2015 and 2018. After this news came out, $EGBN dropped, and investors filed a lawsuit against them. But now, after all this time, EGBN agreed to pay a $13.7M settlement to... 5 0 replies
GE Aerospace Joins Jeju Air Crash Investigation And Updates on $362.5M Investor Settlement Hey guys, if you missed it, GE Aerospace has joined the ongoing investigation into last week’s crash of a Jeju Air-operated aircraft. This follows expanded inspections on all 101 Boeing 737-800 jets operating in South Korea. It’ll be interesting to see how this unfolds in the coming weeks and if it impacts GE’s stock—especially considering the Power Segment issues they faced a few years ago. For those who might not know, in 2017, GE presented a poor financial report with earnings per share falling almost 50% from expectations. They... 5 1 replies
