Don't try to catch a falling knife Markets are seeing a meaningful correction first time since 2018. The economic growth have been more or less a jobless growth with salaries stagnant among various sectors for almost 2 decades now. At start... 5 12 replies

Guys This Isn't COVID It's A Different Kind of Market Despair This slow market crash… it's just not like COVID. That was a shock, a sudden drop, but we knew *why*. And it bounced back quickly. This… this is different. It's been dragging on, this slow, agonizing decline. The rupee's been weak for ages not a new thing and yeah, we've had tough times before, but nothing like this. It feels like we're all just guessing, clutching at straws, trying to make sense of something that doesn't. Every time you think, "Okay, maybe it's turning around," it just falls again, harder.... 1 19 replies
Why is there a volitility in the market today. Despite good numbers, Maruti is down 1% today, could Trump’s tariffs impact Maruti ? Can someone answer this? I have my thoughts pinned down. Maruti Suzuki could be indirectly affected by tariffs imposed by the U.S., such as those introduced during Donald Trump’s presidency. While Maruti Suzuki doesn’t export cars directly to the U.S., there are several indirect ways tariffs could impact the company: 1. Global Supply Chain Disruptions: Maruti Suzuki relies on a global supply chain for components. If U.S. tariffs affect suppliers or raw material costs (like steel and aluminum), this could increase production costs for Maruti. 2. Currency Fluctuations: Trade tensions often lead to currency volatility. A stronger dollar could... 1 3 replies

PSA: DON'T use Vested. Vested Finance started out offering free brokerage for buying US stocks, and India-specific tax reports. What's not to love? Then they hiked the brokerage to 0.1% (capped at $20), which I thought was excessive, but hey, they're doing my taxes. Then, they increased it to 0.15%, and then 0.25% (capped at $35). **They didn't even send an email in either case** \- I found out because I checked my transaction report. Even as a long term investor, consider that 0.25% on buying AND selling means that **you lose 0.5%... 2 0 replies
