Does google take into account HTML ids ? Suppose you have a page with different sections , each one having potentially targeted keywords, and each one having an ID (html attribute) Typical example: a FAQ page , you have a section with `id='how-to-cook-pasta'` which explains about cooking pasta , and another section with `id='how-to-make-a-cake'` etc. So the URLs to those sections are https:// example .com/faq#how-to-cook-pasta and https:// example .com/faq#how-to-make-a-cake Now , if a search term on google theoritically matches not only the page in general , but the particular section within that page , will google detect it and index... 3 1 replies
B2B SEO -- How do I compete? Ill try and keep this short and to the point. I own a B2B service company. Most of the SEO advice I have received boil down to the following: * Its about links. Get the links. * Create remarkable content and be found * Build a network of influencer friends and ask them to share, and my favorite, * Find low competition keywords, with high intent Now, I know that all of these work because I have some of this in B2C (e-com). SEO became much fun and easier to me! Let's be real: SEO content creation can feel like a never-ending treadmill. I used to spend hours – sometimes days – researching keywords, crafting meta descriptions, and then staring blankly at a screen, battling writer's block. The pressure to consistently produce high-quality, keyword-rich content while juggling everything else felt crushing. I was constantly playing catch-up, sacrificing quality for quantity, or just plain burning out. I know many of you understand this struggle. The constant pressure to perform, the relentless need to rank higher, the feeling of never quite doing... 5 3 replies

Although I’ve informed the client, it feels concerning. Any suggestions for a quick recovery? 2 3 replies

We made "Reddit Video Download" tool, but google "Crawled - currently not indexed", how to fix this ? We developed a Reddit Video Download tool, but Google has not indexed it yet. The status in GCS has been "Crawled - currently not indexed" for about two weeks now. Searching for answers online, most point to "content quality" issues. However, the main content of our page is just a simple tool? What else do we need to optimize the "content quality"? (We have already added an introduction, usage instructions, FAQ, and other content.) 3 1 replies

SEO Developer Pain: When Clients Don't Get the Importance of Technical SEO Anyone else feel the pain of explaining to clients that technical SEO isn’t just about keywords and backlinks? Why semrush might be misreporting referring domains? I'm monitoring my referring domain count on a daily basis. It was increasing and reached 750 on 31st December, but suddenly, the next day, it dropped to 675, and today, it is 680. There are no signs of lost domains. How is it even possible? 2 2 replies
SEO Pros: Help me understand how to kick off my Keyword Research. I'm new to the SEO game but not new to hustling in general. I'm curious what I need to think about to jump start my keyword research game. I'm assuming there are some tools that are good for this. I heard about SEM rush but the name implies search engine marketing so I wasn't sure. What are the tools to use (free or paid). I generally like to take an organic approach (trying to search stuff up myself on Google, but I wasn't sure what to even search for).... 3 4 replies
SEO Experts on Medium: What's your advice for a writer picking up SEO as of today? I'm not new to writing or freelancing but I'm trying to figure out this whole SEO thing (how I can do it in-house). I decided to pull the trigger on this as my new years resolution. I wrote a few articles on medium before, but I hadn't been thinking of it from the SEO perspective. What should I be thinking about to really punch above my weight on Medium specifically (or similar sites)? Should I kick off my own [wordpress.com](http://wordpress.com) site too? 2 3 replies
Experienced SEO Professionals: How long does it take to get my site off the ground from 0 to 1? Some background: I decided I'm gonna try to grok SEO and I have very little idea what I'm doing, but I'm quick to pick up a craft and eager to hit the ground running. I recently set up my first site map and submitted my site to Google. How long should I expect time-wise to get this thing off the ground legitimately? I'm not in a hurry just want to know what to expect and how to manage my time effectively. 4 2 replies
SEO Pros: What should I be thinking about in terms of quality perception? I had a discussion with an SEO expert who was saying that I should make sure that my content is perceived as being high quality. Is that all about being unique and not duplicating or are there other gotchas to consider? I figure content is subjective and I'm still learning the ropes of SEO (just starting to pick up the craft). 4 2 replies
High Volume SEO Professionals: How to get started doing my own SEO in-house? I'm curious as a freelancer if SEO is something I can grok and get going with in-house rather than skipping it all together or hiring someone to do it. I'm a quick at learning of a lot of different disciplines and very entrepreneurially minded. I enjoy writing content and engaging with people online. What are some tips for someone like me who wants to pick up the SEO craft? For a while people were saying don't overthink it or try to guess what the search engine is thinking. Is... 3 1 replies
Is this am issue or am I crazy? I'm working on a client site and I noticed a small issue with their url categorization. They have two different category types and this impacts the URL structure. The categories are city and service. Example: /austin/plumber/ The issue is that the main city page, with no service, is /austin/all/ And the page /austin/ is a 404 error. There are no links that to /austin/ internally or externally. But I believe they should 301 redirect /austin/ to /austin/all/ I know the Google crawler should be smart enough to not go... 2 5 replies
