Alt Image Text Does anyone understand this well enough to ELI5? I'm a photographer. The self-build website instructions (Pixieset and Yoast/WP) say "if the image is purely decorative, leave it blank. They also discourage "keyword stuffing". Okay... as a photographer, most of my images are purely decorative. They are art. The art is decorating the page. The blog post showing off the art is a page full of decorative images with some basic storytelling paragraphs. AND - all the images are from the same wedding event, so describing again and again "table... 5 0 replies

Are web2.0 websites still useful for backlinks? I have a fresh website on a fresh domain, i started it in october/november, then in february i had to switch domain so i redirected the old domain with 301. I'm sending mails to all the blogs/websites relevant to my niche i can find to hopefully get some backlinks but they always require me to pay them hundreds/thousands of euros. Does creating new websites with web2.0 platforms like blogger/wix/weebly and linking them to my main site still work in 2025? If so, what are the best platforms and how... 1 6 replies
how fixing articles will affect SEO? Clearing up messy HTML tag structures and updating the articles to reflect the latest version of my service. Will it help or have no effect at all? I don't think it would harm the SEO. Enlighten me. 2 2 replies
How Does Moz Spam Score Impact DA & Backlinks? I've been analyzing website DA for backlink opportunities and came across Moz's **Spam Score** metric. I understand it indicates potentially risky sites, but how much does it actually matter? A few questions: 1. If a site has **12%+ Spam Score**, does that make it a bad backlink source? 2. Could getting a link from such a site negatively impact my website’s reputation or rankings? 3. Is Spam Score a reliable indicator, or should I rely more on other factors like traffic, relevance, and domain authority? Would love to hear... 5 3 replies
How to fix the pages marked with noindex? Hello, I checked my google search console and found there are 1385 pages have been marked with noindex. I watched some teaching videos on Youtube saying I need to open source code and find "<meta name="robots" content="noindex"" and then revise it into "<meta name="robots" content="index"" , but I tried to open the page's open source code but didn't find it. How could I do it? Please help, thank you. 3 0 replies

Help with duplicate title tags & Missing h1 on Weebly I’m working on a website built with Weebly and using SEMrush to check its health. The top issues I’m running into are: Duplicate title tags Duplicate content Missing H1 tags Incorrect pages found in sitemap.xml My client isn’t open to switching to another platform due to budget constraints, so I have to make it work within Weebly. I’ve also read a lot of negative experiences with Weebly since it transitioned to Square, which makes this even more frustrating. If anyone has experience dealing with these SEO issues on Weebly,... 3 2 replies
Has "Direct" traffic grown to be your top source of web traffic as well? This seems like it has been a growing issue relatively recently. I've seen with a few clients their top traffic source is now "Direct". Is this a growing issue you are also struggling with? Can this really be largely thanks to an increase in tracking prevention tactics? I would have expected many of these tactics simply block analytics outright, avoiding the traffic registering at all. 2 3 replies
Semrush or ahrefs or?? I haven't had a subscription in a few years. Back then I did ahrefs and Moz. Does anyone still use Moz? It seems like everybody is doing sem rush or ahrefs. I am just looking to do a month or two while I get a new site or two set up for a Friends business. Curious what the people paying are paying for 1 0 replies
Hosting with Unique IP per Website Hey everyone, Right now, I'm using Hostinger shared hosting, but I'm looking for a new host with unique ip per website. Do not want shared hosting anymore. I host my own websites, but I'm also considering taking on some client work later this year, so I might start hosting sites for others too. Any good recommendations? Thanks! 5 0 replies
URL is not available to Google **UPDATE:** I resolved this by identifying the culprit is the plugin WP-CASSIFY. Turns out that however it's handling CAS authentication, is creating no fewer than 16 redirects behind the scenes, which is sending Google's indexer into a tizzy. \_\_\_\_\_ I've been trying to test a URL on **Google Search Console** and a m getting the following error: >URL is not available to GoogleThis page cannot be indexed. Pages that aren't indexed can't be served on Google. See the details below to learn why it can't be indexed errorPage availabilityPage... 2 0 replies
Guidance I have a lawsuit from the government where my name is associated. I am trying to find a new job and that being a top link is not my friend. I get it cannot be removed and has to be deranked. The companies I have talked to sound sketchy about the service and what it entails. So I wonder if I were to look at this from a different wat and say I am branding myself where should I look to do it myself or where should I get... 5 0 replies

Should I migrate site from .com to .org? It's for a small non-profit. Should have been on a .org all along. Should I migrate the old .com to a .org or is that just a bad idea. Any advice on how to best do that? 4 0 replies
Choosing the right framework does matter Been in SEO for couple years now and I'm trying stuff every now and then. Like most SEOs I started with WordPress and encountered typical SEO and ranking issues until it got me where I am today. Half a year ago, I published a Website I have coded myself with SvelteKit, thinking a self-coded website must be more worth (EEAT score, performance, less duplicate code whatev). As an experiment, I recently launched a website I have done with GODADDY WEBSITE BUILDER WHICH IS ON ITS WAY TO OUTPERFORM MY... 5 0 replies
Blocking a country from visiting a website? I’m running a Shopify based store and of late have noticed getting hundreds if not thousands of visits from presumably bots. Usually they’re from Ashburn but this week they’ve all been coming from Falkenstein (Germany), already today I’ve had 1,300 hit my store with currently 37 active. It’s messing with my tracking of SEO and conversion, is they’re anyway to block said countries? We only operate in the UK so it wouldn’t affect our business. 5 0 replies
How do we build the "Direct" source of organic traffic? I've been looking at a few successful niche sites and I've noticed something puzzling. Many of them have a huge chunk of their organic traffic coming from the "Direct" source, sometimes even more than the traffic from google search. Does this mean the regular users of the site bookmaked or stored the link to the pages of the site elsewhere for quick access? What are some ways we can encourage this, so that if the algorithm decides to nuke our site, we still have our loyal users/visitors? Sorry if... 2 0 replies
