Does anyone understand this well enough to ELI5? I'm a photographer. The self-build website instructions (Pixieset and Yoast/WP) say "if the image is purely decorative, leave it blank. I have a fresh website on a fresh domain, i started it in october/november, then in february i had to switch domain so i redirected the old domain with 301. I'm sending mails to all the blogs/websites relevant to my niche i can find to hopefully get some backlinks but they always require me to pay them hundreds/thousands of euros. How to fix the pages marked with noindex?

Hello, I checked my google search console and found there are 1385 pages have been marked with noindex. I watched some teaching videos on Youtube saying I need to open source code and find "<meta name="robots" content="noindex"" and then revise it into "<meta name="robots" content="index"" , but I tried to open the page's open source code but didn't find it. Has "Direct" traffic grown to be your top source of web traffic as well?

This seems like it has been a growing issue relatively recently. I've seen with a few clients their top traffic source is now "Direct". Is this a growing issue you are also struggling with? Can this really be largely thanks to an increase in tracking prevention tactics? I would have expected many of these tactics simply block analytics outright, avoiding the traffic registering at all.

URL is not available to Google

**UPDATE:** I resolved this by identifying the culprit is the plugin WP-CASSIFY. Turns out that however it's handling CAS authentication, is creating no fewer than 16 redirects behind the scenes, which is sending Google's indexer into a tizzy. \_\_\_\_\_ I've been trying to test a URL on **Google Search Console** and a m getting the following error: >URL is not available to GoogleThis page cannot be indexed. Blocking a country from visiting a website?

I’m running a Shopify based store and of late have noticed getting hundreds if not thousands of visits from presumably bots. Usually they’re from Ashburn but this week they’ve all been coming from Falkenstein (Germany), already today I’ve had 1,300 hit my store with currently 37 active. It’s messing with my tracking of SEO and conversion, is they’re anyway to block said countries? We only operate in the UK so it wouldn’t affect our business.

How do we build the "Direct" source of organic traffic?

I've been looking at a few successful niche sites and I've noticed something puzzling. Many of them have a huge chunk of their organic traffic coming from the "Direct" source, sometimes even more than the traffic from google search.
