in need of help ; yext or next ?

hi guys, I just made a website for my tree care business via an agency. They did a good job, its fully seo optimized and they even teached how to write blog articles and how to optimize the seo they reffered me yext to help me pop out on google and stuff, but ive been reading everywhere on this sub that yext was trash what should I use instead ? im kindof lost.

Google Suspending New Google Business Profiles

I've had Google, without a stated reason suspending my latest 2 Google Business Profile accounts. These are both client account and they were added to the accounts as owners, then all of a sudden, the accounts were suspended. I've appealed both suspensions, but haven't heard anything in a couple of weeks. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I manage a few dozen other profiles. Never had a single suspension before.

Smartphone bot crawl spike

I'm seeing what looks like a biweekly Smartphone bot crawl throttle every 14 days starting Dec. 19/20 that I can't account for. The site isn't being updated more than usual on this schedule (we are a news site so we publish 100s of pages daily), the sitemap isn't being updated on this schedule (we have a news sitemap updated daily), the site isn't being redesigned, we don't generate dynamic links, etc. Crawl requests, for the most part, don't seem out of the ordinary. Any ideas what could be causing...

Feb 4th - Sites Lose All Impressions

there is a widespread phenomenon that happened between Feb 3rd and Feb 4th where sites around the world lost all impressions. GSC Index and actual result difference

Our site has an abnormally low ranking for some reason for the keyword "Scripty" (which isnt even a real word) in the GSC it says the position is 73??? Yet when I go on google I can't find our site even past the 10th page, although our about page is somehow on the 6th page. Our page is relatively new and does not have many backlinks or authority but I don't think its deserving to not exist in google..

What happened to Ahrefs Extension?

Suddenly it has become purple in color and is telling that your monthly limit is reached. But I haven't seen it anytime before. This is the first time I've experienced this. Have they added any limitations? I am still able to use Ahrefs app/tool without any problem, its just the extension issue.

So my homepage is very minimal and straight to the point and as such the SEO isn't great, however my blogs aren't the main focus of my site and I only make them to try and boost my overall site exposure. When building backlinks should I target the homepage or these blogs?

Blog suddenly disappeared

One of my blog posts was ranking on the first page of the US SERPs for about a month, but today, it's completely out of the top 100. The page is still indexed, but I can't figure out what caused this sudden drop. Has anyone else experienced this? Any insights or suggestions would be really helpful!

Lost all positions and traffic after adding other languages

Website is 3-4 months old. English version ranked pretty good. At least good enough for customer. Then we translated content into Hindi, Marathi and Telugu. Added hreflang attributes as it's supposed to be. In a few days we lost all positions and traffic we had for English pages. Achieved nothing. It's my first experience with multilingual website, I have no idea what to do, honestly. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Google isn't sending impressions or crawling a lot of new website. Since 4th February.

I've just built a new website in November 24 and it has been wiped out on google since the 4th of February. It's happened to a lot of sites. I'm getting messages from site owners who are seeing the same. This has not yet been covered by the main seo sites or Seo's on twitter. There's an awful lot of people out there who have recently built a new website and who are not seeing rankings or impressions at all. The sites are barely crawled by Google as well....

As an SEO beginner, should I choose SEMrush or Ahrefs?

I’m just starting to run my own website and I’m still not very familiar with backlinks, keywords, etc. I’ve seen a lot of SEO articles mention tools, and it seems like SEMrush and Ahrefs are the most popular. My content used to rank within 2,3 for multiple keywords. But in the last 4 months, the rank dropped to 8th. What could be the reason. The same happened with many of our posts.

Thanks guys, last night I posted on reddit to increase SEO for my domain (chromaticlabs.co) and got solid responses. I was talking to my friend about improving it with my co-founder and got into really interesting discussion. Gradually people are using Chat GPT or Perplexity to search web, and that different from how SEO works with Google. If that shift happens, how will the future of SEO look like?
