why does homebrew keep uninstalling? I have been using the homebrew package manager for years without problems. Now what? I have a 2/3 years old MacBook Pro, which is out of warranty. It was working fine. I got the “Software Update” notification and did it. After update, it immediately cannot boot correctly. Solution to the problem of reboots in sleep mode in MacOS Sequoia 15.x. In 15.2, the problem was not fixed. Shutdown in sleep mode or reboot with an error occurs. Through experience, it became clear that the error is generated when writing the hibernation file to the ssd. Solution options: write in the terminal `sudo pmset -g` and see what hibernation mode is set. If 25, then you need to change it to 0 or 3. `sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3` After that, increase the transition from sleep mode to hibernation mode to 24 hours. MacBook does not want to manifest recovery mode I forgot my Mac password and I want to enable Recovery mode, but when I try the combination of **Command + R** and **Option**, the laptop does not respond, although it has previously responded. The same thing happens with combinations: **Option or Alt**, **D**, **N** and probably **Command + V**, but they work: **Command + S**, **Shift**. Chrome tab resizing issue Hello, I recently bought my first Mac (Macbook Air M3), never used macOS before. When I open the Amazon webpage on Chrome (while not full screen), it doesn't completely fit the window and I can't see the whole content of the page, see pic down in the comments. The other tabs resize correctly with any windows size. It gets annoying to scroll left and right to see the whole page content. Easiest way to put music over YouTube video I'm doing a presentation which involves putting different songs over a piece of footage. The footage I want is on YouTube. I can download videos from there easy enough, then I assumed I'd add the songs in iMovie. The songs are slightly tricky though. Annoying popup when using AltTab after updating to Sequoia 15.2 Hello. I just updated to MacOS Sequoia 15.2, and I seem to have a small problem with AltTab. I know AltTab needs to use screen recording, but after update there's a full on popup that shows up every time I press Alt+Tab. This is really annoying and I can't seem to turn this off. Keyboard Shortcut for Sleep on Non-Apple Keyboard I have an applescript text that triggers sleep I have been using since at least Snow Leopard which I have bound to a keystroke (FN+F7) to allow me to put the computer to sleep without use of the mouse.
