Screen and audio recording

Hi, I am having problems with the audio when I record the screen of my Mac. I mean that when I finish recording and I want to go back to see the class I had by zoom, all the sound of my environment is also heard and I only want to record the internal audio of my Mac and the external microphone when I speak. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Advice requested - external drive setup

Here's a little background. I've been using Macs exclusively for 15 years, and about a year ago my Macbook Pro had some kind of catastrophic error that Apple couldn't fix. Should I Update

Hello I was wondering if I should update my Mac or not, I have 24.65 GB of free space, so I’m barely making the cutoff to update to macOS Sequoia 15.3 . Is it gonna take up all my storage if I update? Also, been trying to free up space on my Mac but have been struggling, suggestions? Thanks

Go directly to a file path

When I open a file in a Mac app (cmd-O) how can I go directly to a file location? So, in Windows I copy the folder path, I switch to the software and hit cntrl-O and then paste in that file path, hit enter and I'm there. How can I do that on a Mac?

Does anyone miss the UI look from OSX 10.5 - 10.6 era? The brushed metal. The 3D windows. A bit more color. Everything today is so flat and boring. It's .... bland.

I Downloaded Lightroom as ISO, How do I get the actual program? I unpacked the zip und used RAR for the ISO but i dont understand how to open the actual app not just the files

Can’t open x.com with 15.3

Just installed the update, and now can’t open x.com. The page (not Safari) displays the message “Some privacy related extensions may cause harm or issues on x.com. Please disable them and try again.” I have no such extensions in Safari.

ChatGPT app freezing and hanging my Macbook Air M1

From the past few days my mac (version 15.3) was freezing and hanging frequently. The cursor moved but clicking, swiping with 3 fingers or any other keys did not give any response. Everything just froze. It happened a few times and after force quitting everything and restarting multiple times I realised that only force quitting the ChatGPT app fixed it, and it happens again when I opened it and minimised it. Safari super slow cannot load css of typekit website properly..

My safari has been super slow for a while. I basically deleted all extensions, cleared the cache and deactivated icloud private relay. It seems like the issue is that it's almost never able to load the CSS of web pages using typekit fast enough. The url [use.typekit.net](http://use.typekit.net) takes forever.. Every website using typekit do the same and takes forever

Help! Time Machine old backup not accessible

I have an external 4tb drive with my previous iMac and one large external drive backed up to it (a great system by the way). I now have a new laptop. I used the same 4tb drive, and backed up the laptop onto it. I see the laptop backup plus the old iMac/external backup on that 4tb drive. But I can't access the backups from that old external drive. I click on a file on the external drive, and click "browse time machine backups" (where did "enter time machine"...

Applications using an absurd amount of RAM is the normal for me. Am I doing something wrong?

My MacBook Pro M3 Pro only has 18GB. I've seen some posts before of people finding one application that's using, usually something like Safari, that's using an enormous amount of memory due to a memory leak. The takeaways are usually to close some tabs/restart safari, or to see if any plugins are causing the issue and uninstalling them. I have to work inside Windows CloudPC virtual machine.
