Using 2+ Monitors on this platform is unintuitive

Very small annoyance but happens so often i want to get others input on it. Does anyone else become annoyed/frustrated when having multiple instances of the same application open on separate desktops, it seems that when selecting that application macos will never open the application on the screen that you are using but the screen that the application was last open on. (well not never, but only if the desktop you're operating on happens to also be the desktop that the last open instance of the application was on)...

Trouble daisy chaining 2x LG UltraFine 4k displays with M1 Pro Macbook Pro

I have 2x LG Ultrafine 4k displays model: 24MD4KL ([these ones](https://www.lg.com/global/business/monitors/lg-24md4kl)) connected to my M1 Pro MacBook Pro with a thunderbolt 3 cable. They both work when they are both separately connected to the laptop but one does not work when daisy chained to the other monitor. On the monitor's website it says they support Thunderbolt daisy chaining, and both monitors have 2x thunderbolt ports in the back, but I cannot get it to work for some reason. Dock settings

I have these apps that run in the background, but I don’t want them on my dock indefinitely. I already have the setting ‘keep recent apps in dock’ turned off. I can’t figure it out. I drag them off and they come back. One app doesn’t offer the hide option and the other apps hide option doesn’t work. The apps themselves don’t have a setting, but I didn’t look hard in the apps settings.

Windows on Apple Silicon without VM

Hey everyone, I am trying to see if it's possible to run Windows on Apple Silicon. I don't want to use something like parallels or another virtual machine. I've tried messing around with it and looked into WinDiskWriter, but it doesn't seem like my computer wants to boot from it and I'm not sure this is its intended purpose. Endless System data calculation

Why does it not calculate system data. Just updated my M1 MacBook Pro to 15.3.1 and this started the Mac Studio shows as it should, also the "used" storage is wrong. If I look in System Report it shows the correct disk usage. Any help on this would be appreciated. "new file" from context menu?

Not in some sort of "quick action" that just creates a text file, but a blank file that automatically wants you to type it's name (just like how 'New Folder' does) and extension. If not letting you type out the extension and name upon pressing the item on the context menu, maybe popout selections (example in photo)? \[New > Text Document | RIch Text Format | etc..\] Is there anything that will bring this obvious feature to macOS? and no, I will not consider alternatives like "just make the...

Known issue: Pages unable to rename or save to drive

Since updating Sequoia (now 15.3), I cannot open a blank document in Pages 14.3, retitle it and save it to desktop or icloud documents -- as I have done multiple times a day forever. Can't replace file for custom screen saver

Hello, i want to set my live Arkane wallpaper. I downloaded video, renamed and set it to mov format. But when i tried to drag this file into mac wallpaper folder and chose to replace the original file it said "The operation can’t be completed because an item with the name “” already exists." Internet recovery randomly appeared and won’t go away

Hi everyone, I know nothing about computers and am posting out of sheer desperation as a college student who needs to get work done. My laptop is a MacBook Pro Model A1502. Help on Installing Mac OS

I have difficulties to install mac OS in My 2019 iMac (5K Retina 27 inch) now. The iMac was on Sonoma 14.x (not the latest one) before. I tried to update it to Sequoia through the settings. At the beginning, it shows "can't verified the download". I googled, then tried to logout the Apple ID and login with Safe Boot. I can download through the settings now and start the installation.
