Why is sex treated as Taboo topic in India ?

Even though i am 23M and have 26M brother , i still hesistate to put some Movies on Televison during dinner time or any other day when all of us are watching TV , I fear every now and then , that some kissing scenes / or romatic scene may appear and i feel embarassed or awkward tbh ( reason being i have the Remote and they look at me as if i made them do that sh*t ) , its hard to explain this feeling lol 🙏😭

Why does everything in India depend on bribing?

I had to bribe a government official today and I am traumatized. I hate what our system makes us do. I had an outer body experience because this is so new to me 😭

Does bullying happens in schools of India as much as it happens in schools of USA?

Known people from Indian school that never faced bullying or them knowing anyone getting bullied Compared to knowing people in USA and finding out that most got bullied. What’s the reality here as when I mentioned bullying is far less in India someone argued from USA that bullying happens in India as much as in USA. What’s your experience? Or someone can pls lead me to reliable statistics as I’m clueless of Indian schools and bully system

My country. My eyes. My opinion.

I recently went out of the country for my studies and am back for 10 to 15 days. I like everyone else who returns to home was excited, but things really hit me hard. At first, even I disliked when NRIs would say something but it kind of makes sense. Cons- 1. We really do have a staring problem. Let's be super honest, we do. If you disagree, I request you to walk around with one of your female friends. 2. The vishwaguru narrative is doing more harm than good,because...

Can we talk about how difficult it is to make close friends when you're an adult?

If you're an adult and didn't get to make any close friends throughout your childhood, it's basically impossible to make some now. Why? Because everyone else already has close friendd and their friendgroups that they'll prioritise over you any day. And you can't even blame anyone for this but yourself, because yk that if you had the chance to make friends before, you would gladly do so but you couldn't.

I hid my real salary from parents? Anyone else did same thing?

I work from home and come from a middle-class family. I've seen my parents spend too much and going beyond their financial limits. As a fresher, I told them I earn only 19k, but in reality, I earn 39k now. I've also started investing a little. Just curious if anyone else has done something similar. Edit: right now i give them around 14to 15k monthly and have told them i will manage in 5k

Do Indians know that some people in Canada have recently been unfriendly toward Indians?

When browsing Canada-related videos on TikTok, I noticed that whenever there are Indian elements in the video, the comments are always filled with hateful remarks. Have Indians noticed this?

Why do a lot of NRIs assume that you are brown = you must speak Hindi? My experiences in Toronto/North America

I’ve been living in the Toronto region for almost a decade, and I’ve noticed a peculiar trend - Occasionally, fellow Indians try to strike up conversations with me in Hindi. Here’s the thing: I’m South Indian, I don’t speak Hindi, and I’ve never felt compelled to learn it. When I explain that I don’t understand Hindi, I’m often met with a perplexing question: “Are you not Indian?” This response irritates me to no end. These days, I’ve started replying with, “I’m Indian, not North Indian” or just straight up...

Why isn’t fine dining respected in India?

Most videos I see from Indian content creators showcasing fine dining get so much freaking hate in the comments section. This isn’t the case usually when they are vlogging cheap street food with mountain-loads of cheese and butter which I personally find to be disgusting. I get it. There aren’t too many good fine dining restaurants in India but even when Western YouTubers are reviewing Indian food from a luxurious standpoint such as that found in Michelin starred restaurants in the UK, US, etc, even those have us Indians...

Can someone explain why SCS/ST or any kinda reservation really matter?

I saw recent incidents where marginalized communities were raped, killed, made to drink urine and much worse ! then there is the sentiment around SC/ST are already rich due to the reservation opportunities that has made them have generational wealth I also understand its not the same case for each and everyone belonging to that particular community no matter how much sympathy u show them, I have witnessed instances where they favor their own casts be it in job, frndships and other stuff - its as if they are...

Why isn't there a cult against rapists

I mean definitely candle March wagera se tl kuch nahi ho rha. Aur hamari gov bhi kuch nahi karti in maamlo mein.m they are all about religion and stuff. Don't you all think as citizens hame hi kuch karna chahiye.. ek ko live aag lagaayege to baaaki 50 ki jurrat nahi hogi karne ki . I highly think there should be a cult like that. Ah for eg bajrang dal par wo religion ke liye.. waise hi ais asur jaise logo ke khilaaf bhi cult banana chahiye.
