What percents of Indian students study abroad?

Like if you could give a percentage of students(high school and college), what percentage would you say end up studying abroad? Just wondering because someone I talked to said it was 80% or something lol which doesn’t make sense.

    Normalizing abnormal behavior in SM

I came across this profile in IG, this lady makes reels with young guy on obscene songs and touching stuff. This is normalizing Paedophiliaic behavior, teaching young minds to enact certain way only to brainwash them as normal thing and it does inculcate p* and toxic behavior to the youth and group of all ages. In one interview the lady says if 1000 people hate us, lakhs of people love us Let's mass report.

For those who get jealous over small things in their relationship, please answer my question.

I don't know why, but I'm becoming a more and more jealous and insecure person in my relationship. So a few days ago I went out of town to attend a wedding and my boyfriend threw a party, so there were many strangers at the club. So my boyfriend did ("Cheers before a drink") with a girl. And I felt jealous. Or should I feel jealous, please tell me. If you were in my place, would you also have Jealous? [I have a request, please don't make fun of...

Why Is Living with Parents Seen as Shameful in other Countries?

In India, living with parents as an adult is normal and often expected. It’s about family bonds, shared responsibilities, and emotional support. But in some foreign countries, especially in the West, it’s often seen as shameful or a sign of dependency. Why is there such a difference in perception? Is it purely cultural, tied to financial independence, or something else? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Parent with little children on Flights: Does Consideration for Fellow Passengers Take a Back Seat?

Dear India, May I ask if it is permitted for parents to allow their children to play videos/music on phones/tabs at full volume on Indian flights? Yesterday, after a long haul flight, I boarded an Indigo flight for a 4 hour trip. Exhausted and battling a migraine from jet lag, I was hoping to catch some rest. Unfortunately, a couple in the same row had a 3–4-year-old child watching nursery videos/songs on a tab at high volume throughout the entire flight. As we all know, sounds in an aircraft...

Is the Hindi dub of The Godfather worth watching?

Hey folks, So I’ve been wanting to watch The Godfather, but I’m finding the English (especially the British accents) a bit hard to follow. I’m considering watching the Hindi dub, but I’m worried it might not do justice to the original. For those who’ve seen the Hindi version, is it worth it? Does it maintain the essence of the movie, or should I just stick to subtitles and power through the original? Don’t want to spoil such a legendary movie with a bad dub. Let me know your thoughts!...

How to deal with Dry eyes and Blurred Vision post LASIK?

I had LASIK in 2018 and have been facing extremely dry eye issues ever since. I had dry eyes issue before LASIK as well. Post the surgery, I always feel blurredness, discomfort at night, and no sharpness in vision whatsoever. I have consulted a lot of doctors, along with the one who did my LASIK but never got any relief. I have been prescribed many drops, and done many tests but everybody suggested my eyes are normal. Whenever I have my eyes checked by an optometrist, it comes out...

Do you feel that customer service, after sales service etc are getting worse and worse in India? Most companies don't even share a phone number or email ID now. The few who do, their waiting lines are huge or they try every way to not let us speak with any human.

Sales is quite opposite. Too many salespeople. This is called poor governance. The trend has exploded under Modi government.

Has anyone tried to disappear? And made it.

So ever since my downfall started after Covid I always wanted to disappear from my known world and work on myself for some years atleast become a stable responsible human. Every time I tried to do it a voice in my head echos that I need my friends and family and everyone are important but at the same time it also says you are more important… I should leave and work on myself or I’ll even lose what I am now. So I wanted to know if anyone out...

Indian men of reddit who were a victim of physical abuse by their female partners, what's your story?

Considering a significant number of households in India are patriarchal, stories of domestic violence by women has always intrigued me. Men, how did you react when it first happened and what was your course of action later? Women who have had close male friend or relative go through the same can also share the story.

People in mid 30s How do you address strangers younger than you ?

So, I am a male in mid 30s and this weekend I was in a nearby shop to get groceries, there was a girl probably in early 20s (I am very bad at guessing age) she was standing near a shelf where I wanted to pick something. I waited and then said excuse me she didn't move after that I said "bete, excuse me" and she turned and looked at me like I have said something very very wrong. Not to say I got terrified with that look and...

It should actually be illegal to play music out loud.

I don't know why but Indians have this nagging habit of playing music out loud as if they are severely allergic to playing music using a headphone/airpods or just playing it in a manner that doesn't disturb their neighborhood. I'd probably get flake for this since I believe there are people like that on this sub. But the thing is, what we don't find egregious, in other countries, its consider a violation of personal space and in some places, people have the right to call the cops on you...
