How’s your relationship with your dad ?

My dad was an alcoholic, but deep down, he was a good man. For a long time, I was angry with him and kept my distance because he was not very attentive to us as kids. Despite his flaws, he made sure to send me to Europe for further education, which shaped my life. Today, I am doing well professionally and living and working abroad. Sadly, he passed away last year, but we had made peace in the last few years. Just a day before he passed, he called...

Am I Wrong to Feel Upset About My Girlfriend’s Christmas Plans?

My(24M) girlfriend (23F) recently made two new friends at her workplace, and they’ve developed a close bond. I’ve spoken to one of them a few times briefly, like when I’m on a call with my girlfriend, and she joins in the conversation from the background. At some point, I suggested to my girlfriend that she should introduce me to them. However, she clearly said she wasn’t interested in mixing different friend groups, and I was completely okay with that. Recently, I asked her if we could plan something together...

(Serious) Is Nirmala Sitharaman the worst FM in India's History?

If not who was worse? And why? Genuine question, because I want to be enlightened about whether she is as bad as people make her out to be or is there someone who has been worse in our history as a nation.

Do married people in workplaces, across all fields, really cheat ?

So, I was traveling in an auto today, and this middle-aged aunty joined midway. She was on the phone, saying something like, "Why won’t you come to meet me? I’m waiting for you. You know we can’t talk once I reach home." It got me thinking—are workplace affairs really that common? Is this kind of thing happening everywhere? If you’ve got any workplace affair stories (funny, messy, or just wild), feel free to share. Curious to know how common this really is!

What would it take Congress to get rid of the Gandhi siblings in the leadership and have some common sense patriot as their face?

Indians cannot keep voting for the BJP forever. We need some strong leadership in major opposition party. With Gandhis at the helm, it is going to be difficult for first time voters or repeat voters to find any hope in the INC, politically. In my opinion, there's no scope for improvement for the Gandhi siblings and Congress needs a new face.

How do you, as a right wingers, feel about the fact that Bhagat Singh was a socialist?

I have seen Bhagat Singh being celebrated by staunch Right wingers. But Bhagat Singh was a hardcore socialist, as very clear from his writings, and as far as I understand Right wing, you guys hate anybody who has any sympathy or love for socialism, even if they love their country, because you guys consider socialism to be a poison first, then consider everything else. Bhagat Singh was also a non-religious atheist and I don't remember him being sympathetic towards Hindus cause or anything. The only thing I know is...

Why Is Female Loneliness Never Talked About?

Hi everyone I, 23F and I’ve been struggling a lot with loneliness lately. It’s not just about being single—it’s the overall feeling of disconnection. Friendships feel shallow, dating feels impossible, and most days, I’m just trying to convince myself that it’ll get better. Is companionship too much to ask for? A nice decent guy who also wants a genuine and deep connection with you, but its so hard to find! How come dating can be so hard when its a basic human tendency to want a partner. With the...

Hello guys As per to the title just wanted to know few things. Last night we friends(male+female) had a get together, upon some drinks my male friends confessed that I am a bhai to them. Why are people so darn pessimistic on India's official subreddit ?

I don't get it, honestly. Yes, everyone discusses stuff here and there but goddamn they're the most pessimistic, brain rotten people ever. It's like "the future is bleak mg friend 💔" (yes someone literally wrote it in one of their comments), "nothing can be done, only Rahul Gandhi could save us, pre 2014 was heaven on Earth 😕" or the best one "I hate being born in this country, white people are racist to us for a reason because we deserve it". I joined that sub for a week...

How to talk to this guy?

So I met a guy via matrimonial website and I really liked him. But our kundalis didn't match. I am not a very firm believer in kundli and neither is he. I saved his number and messaged him at least once in 2 weeks. Ok Sunday we talked a bit about my life. He said he would called me but haven't. What should I do?

Since 2025 is right around the corner, I’ve noticed that since 2014-2024 a dichotomous narrative has taken center stage in india.

    1-BJP-opposition 2-Modi-Nehru 3-hindu-muslim 4-north India-south India 5-Sarvarkar-Gandhi 6-Adani-Ambani 7-Nationalist- Anti-national.

Constant fights over money. Anyone suffered the same?

My family has constant fights over money and it makes me kill myself. My mental health gets fucked up so bad I feel uncomfortable and like a looser who'll be a failure just like my family. Had to chose commerce due to lack of exposure and financial backup. I'm 20M and our financial condition is worse than ever. Im sick of this life. I don't even see any good looking at my parents fighting. It feel like even if I earn, I'll never have this happy family. It's physically...

Why Does Everyone Get Triggered Over the Smallest Things Nowadays?

Lately, I’ve noticed something that’s been bugging me—why does it seem like people are so quick to get triggered over the tiniest details? It feels like we’ve lost the ability to let things go or take a step back and think, *“Is this really worth the energy?”* I’m not talking about big, important issues—those deserve attention and discussion. But sometimes, it feels like even the most harmless things get dissected, analyzed, and turned into controversies. A slip of the tongue, an innocent comment, or even a personal preference can...

    Self esteem

Ok, its happened long time back. When i was in college i had to function as a leader for an organization. There is a ritual of accompany our seniors even after their period of service in that organisation. I had to people pleasing in the name of politeness eventhough i know they are not so good. Later i got a feel that they selected me bcoz i have money to spend. I had to people please each and everyone of them. Eventhough i got traumas from my own peer...

What made you appreciate India over rich countries?

"Because there's a big stigma about living with your parents. Unless you have a family business, it's usually seen in a sense of you being poor, a man-child, or lazy. It has a very negative view behind it. And also most parents kick you out at a certain age because "you're too old" to be living with them."-- westerner comment. This one for me was enough that in India I can always have a house. And most people live in a house and doesn't need to buy one.

Is not having a girlfriend not normal ?

I came home during my semester break this winter and was surprised as to how many people were asking me that if I had a girlfriend. I am 21 and when I first got to meet my home town friends after a long time, they asked me I had a girlfriend or not, to which I replied I didn't and they acted so surprised. Even my mother started asking I had made a girlfriend or not and even when visiting my relatives, even my aunt who like once came...
