Which type of cheating—emotional or physical—would hurt you more, and why? Do you think Indian cultural values or societal expectations influence how men and women perceive these forms of betrayal?

I [26M] was having a heartfelt conversation with my girlfriend [26F] during pillow talk, and the topic of past relationships and hypothetical situations came up. I asked her what she would find more devastating—emotional cheating or physical cheating. She told me she couldn’t choose; both would hurt her equally. She then turned the question back to me. I admitted that while any form of cheating would end our relationship without a doubt, I’d feel more emotionally broken by physical cheating. She wasn’t surprised by my answer and said that...

Seeing a lot of tobacco spitting stains at every place. Should tobacco be banned or at least make increase the tax over it so that not everyone will be able to afford it.

What do you guys find... "attractive" in a girl's outfit?

Hi everyone! So, I'm trying to understand what guys find appealing in the way a girl dresses. I'm not very fashion-forward, and sometimes I feel a bit lost when it comes to choosing clothes. I'm not looking for anything too revealing or anything like that. I just want to know what you guys generally find attractive in a girl's outfit. For example, do you prefer certain colors, styles, or lengths? I'm genuinely curious! Disclaimer: I'm just trying to learn and understand. No pressure! 😉.

If given a choice what would you pick-a peak single life or a peak relationship phase?

How to make a guy reject me in an AM setup?

I (28F) is facing conflicts with my parents regarding arranged marriages. Now the thing is, my parents are concerned that I'm of a marriageable age and I should get married soon. The issue is (1) I am currently doing a PhD and I'm at a really critical juncture, and I cannot afford any kind of distractions, (2) I don't really understand the concept of arranged marriages, and my parents are rejecting my choice of guys, (3) if I abruptly say no to a guy then my parents try to...

What phone should I buy for my Mom ?

Hey r/AskIndia ! For the past six years, my mom has been using her Redmi Note 7, but she was never satisfied with it. It was fine for about six months, but then it became horrendously slow and never really recovered. It's become her new normal, but I don't want her to feel that slow and limited again. I want to get her a phone that feels modern and special. I'm considering the Samsung M35 and the Motorola G85. The G85's new curved screen is tempting, but I'm concerned...

Dealing with the Indian Mother in law's orders and opinions.Your suggestions?

Married to a conventionaly cool person but his only living parent (his MOM) is pretty conservative so just for some background...whenever I go to India, I can't wear what I want for example no leggings that match my skin colour, no off shoulder tops basically anything that may show a lot of skin.no bright lipstick etc. She tried to tell me to change once when she had moved abroad with us but I told her no one bothers here so she could take a chill pill. I am constantly...

    What is 'settling'?

I have so many questions going on in my head. When do you have the feeling of 'settled'? What milestone or accomplishment makes you feel so? How does one start a married life or start a family knowing that corporate culture is unstable?(one could get laid off any time). What does it take to be above middle-class/upper middle-class? When do you feel like you're acing adulting? The answers can be different for everyone and there's no correct or wrong answer. I'm going down a spiral of thoughts. I'd love...

Does anyone else feel that Amazon India's customer service is beyond dogshit now?

TLDR: Customer service is a complete 180° from what it used to be when Amazon first entered the market. It's deliberately designed to severely test the patience of the Indian consumer. REACHING CUSTOMER CARE: The automated IVR is useless for anything other than the most basic requests. It's almost impossible to get in touch with a real person. Getting one is trial and error. I once literally wrote down the combination of options I need to enter to talk to a real person because of how convoluted it is...

Marriages: Within same profession or otherwise

People who are married- was the profession of your spouse an important consideration in the process? Is it easier if the couple is the same industry / profession - similar social circle, can understand the demands. Particularly, since I'm a lawyer o feel it's better if my spouse is a lawyer too since it's just easier running a chamber then. I can leave the practice in trusted hands if I'm required to take time off for motherhood or otherwise.
