I’m looking for advice, insights, or success stories from those who’ve faced a similar transition—any tips on navigating this shift would be greatly appreciated. My current plan is to gain 1–2 years of work experience... 4 1 replies

Indian who have been divorce, what was your experience? I got divorced 5 years ago, because my husband was abusive (physically and mentally). He was also pretty unsupportive of my life and my career. Thankfully we were only married for around 8 months, it was an arranged marriage. 13 0 replies

How prevalent is the caste system and religious discrimination in India? I’m from Tamil Nadu and I can say I never faced serious problems because of my caste, even though my community is labelled as a backward caste by the government. To give you an overview, my parents hail from small villages, but thankfully educated. Many of my relatives (my parents’ generation) live in rural areas and villages, but still don’t discriminate people or got discriminated(at least in my knowledge) and quite liberal in their views even though they weren’t well educated due to poverty. We even had inter-caste and... 3 10 replies

Anyone else notice an uptick in YouTube videos criticizing India's current situation? I've been noticing my YouTube feed lately is flooded with videos painting a pretty grim picture of India - everything from "Escape India" videos to critiques of economic policies, falling rupee, security concerns, and government management. Tying to figure out if this is: 1. Just my algorithm in a feedback loop based on what I've watched 2. Content creators jumping on a trend 3. A genuine reflection of growing concerns among Indians/NRIs 4. Some combination of the above I've seen videos about: - Economic issues (rupee depreciation, inflation) -... 2 10 replies

How rich do you want to be? Everyone wants to be rich. And of course there is no upper limit for it. But have you decided some benchmarks or numbers for it or maybe 'at least' part of it? Like my 'at least' part is EMI free life(car, education, house fully paid), one or two family vacations per yr, safety of family health through insurance or savings and no worries of price in any restaurant or regular mall or shops. This might seem bare minimum but I'd like to be at least that much rich at... 2 10 replies
Chronically sick, dropped out of masters and gf dumped me. How to move ahead? I (22M) was pursuing a fully funded master’s degree abroad when I suddenly fell ill. Due to unmanageable circumstances, I had to drop out of my program. Doctors diagnosed me with a chronic condition that will take some time to fully heal. Despite everything, I managed to keep going and was trying to move forward. However, today, my girlfriend broke up with me, saying she feels she won’t be able to grow as a person because I accept her for who she is. To make things worse, today is... 4 10 replies
Are indian women weaker/more vulnerable physically? Most women I've know, friends or work colleagues, a lot of them face different types of medical issues. Some are allergic, some have reproductive health issues, some catch cold or fever very easily, and there are many with issues like anxiety etc. In several occasions I've seen women in my family and few friends as well faint due to weakness or other reasons. Are indian women not physically fit? Or am I just looking at a bad sample? 5 10 replies
