    Uber/Ola/Indrive/Rapido/Autos what's the issue?

I've been noticing for the past few days bc taxi hi nahi mil rahi. It takes more than 30+ minutes to book a cab. Is it just me or aisa hi chal raha hai sab jagah? Autos chalo it's available when you book but increasingly many auto walahs refuse to go from xyz east to xyz west. It was not the case literally a few months ago. I'm quite low maintenance when it comes to travelling, whichever mode is available I take it but this is getting more noticeable...

First time in Mumbai. Moving near Malad West for an internship – need advice on housing, expenses, and surviving the city!

Hi everyone! I'm gonna be moving to Mumbai in January for an internship. So I'm gonna be looking for places to live in-and-around Malad West. How much can I expect my monthly expenses to be? (I would be living with either one or two of my friends in a PG). What all things do I need to keep in mind, as this is really my first time moving out. How do I manage my finances smartly considering there'll be hidden expenses which I'll only get to know when I...

    Mumbai Real Estate Query

Hi Mumbaikars, Context: 1. Living in Mumbai for last 3 years. At a stage where I want to have Real Estate in my portfolio. 2. From an investment perspective, evaluating whether to get a 1BHK in south Mumbai like Bandra/Worli or a 2/3BHK in suburbs. 3. HR asking me if I'd be comfortable/ flexible working nightshifts

Had applied for a job posting on a job portal and received a call from HR today asking about my expectations and my availability/ feasibility to work night shifts. When I enquired about the working hours, they stated it being 11-8pm but they get extended alot during project deadlines which I'm assuming would be quite often. They're a studio working with films and ads located in Andheri near the yellow line metro so even though the commute itself isn't an issue, i really don't know how to go about...

    Ashok Vada Paav

A few days ago, I gave the wrong drop location in Uber and ended up 300 meters away from Ashok Vada Pav. I hadn’t known about this place until the night before, when I’d watched a bunch of hype-filled videos about it. Thanks to Google Maps’ ‘recently viewed’ pin, I realized I was right near it. As I was walking towards it with great hopes, I saw the vendors mixing the filling with bare hands, and ducked out. After a few days and a series of incidents, there I...

Electric buses and rash driving. It's a huge factor for the Kurla Bus accident.

It was not just that the drivers are not accustomed to the "automatic" transmission of electric buses (electric buses don't have traditional transmissions, automatic is a misnomer) but also that electric buses have too much acceleration on demand. Top speed is already limited because that is basics but acceleration needs to be limited too. These drivers don't need this much power on demand, that too with an instant response. I've seen during the introduction of these buses that drivers frequently input rash forces into the pedal because that is...
