What is this behaviour Karen 🤷🏼‍♀️

So, I’m heading to Borivali in the first-class ladies' compartment, and this old woman keeps sizing me up from head to toe. I’m wearing joggers and an old T-shirt because I didn’t have time to get dressed properly since I had to catch the train. She’s staring at me like I’ve just landed from another planet. Like, seriously, aunty, you live in Borivali, calm the fuck down At first, I thought she might know me, which is why she kept looking. But then I noticed she’s giving daggers to...

Delhi Highway on Fort is a scam

Delhi highway is a big scam, from paid reviews scam to alot other things. But I lost my heart when I found a rusted nail in their Paneer lababdar, which came out of my mouth. They didn't apologise, they said don't pay and leave to which I still insisted to pay and left. Always thought nothing would happen to them as they are so big.

    I'm traumatized

Born and brought up in mumbai, I've(25F) never truly felt unsafe in this city and I've always felt a sense of pride because of the same. But yesterday, while travelling in the western line, at around 12 pm , I was travelling in ladies first class from dadar to Charni road. At one point it was just me and another woman in the dabba and at grant road a man got in. He entered at the last moment and pretended like it was an accident. I have had horrible...

PSA from another post.. Mumbai Consumer Commission levied a fine of Rs. 25000 on Cream Centre, South Mumbai for charging a "mandatory" service charge to a customer, called the charge "illegal"

The restaurant argued that it had displayed the fact that it levies a mandatory service charge in multiple places in the restaurant and hence they were within their rights to charge it but the Commissioner rejected this defence and called the charges 'illegal' Service Charge is VOLUNTARY. No restaurant can force you to pay it even if they disclose it in their menu or anywhere in the restaurant. You have a right to get it waived off if you want.

Looking for Recommendations for Christmas Cake in Mumbai

Hi everyone! I’ve never tried boozy Christmas cake before, and this year, I decided to explore it. Based on suggestions from Reddit, I checked out a couple of places in Bandra — Rejoyce and Venus Bakery. * **Rejoyce**: They’re offering Christmas cakes in a 1.5 kg package priced at ₹2300. While the recommendations were great, I hesitated to buy it since I’m unsure if it’s worth breaking my budget for this. * **Venus Bakery**: Right next to Rejoyce, I found pre-packaged cakes here — rum cake (₹215) and plum...

Need help recovering house help's money from EPF

Hello, my house help asked me to help her regarding this. Her husband worked with a private firm before he passed away and had EPF. The house help now needs that money for her daughter's wedding. She asked me for assistance and I went with her twice, to the employer's office as well as to the EPF office, but to no avail. The EPF officer brings up something or the other issue in the documents sends them back. I also tried hinting at a 'gift' but I don't think...

Help a Fellow Traveler Explore Lonavala and Pune Properly

Hello! As the title suggests, I’m planning a trip to **Pune, Lonavala, and Mumbai** from **7th to 12th March**. I’ll be dividing my time roughly like this: **2-3 days in Lonavala** and the rest between Pune and Mumbai. This is my first time visiting these places, and I’d love your suggestions on what I **absolutely shouldn’t miss**. I’m particularly interested in: * Scenic spots in Lonavala (treks, caves, or any unique experiences). * Cool places to visit, eat, or hang out in Pune. * Recommendations for things in Mumbai if I make it there. I’m...

What nobody is telling you about Kalyan Bhaiyya-Marathi rada .

The 10 accused who fought on Shukla side, all are marathi speaking maharastrians. They know Shukla family since decades. This is a personal enimity which has now become a migrant-bhoomi putra issue. I am afraid this kind of events will keep on happening where any fight between two opposite groups will turn into political slug fest. The only reason behind this is BJP got a thumping majority and demographics in Mumbai has changed a lot, but despite that Marathi speaking population is still a strong vote bank and Shivsena...
