New Trader I traded a bit when I first turned 18, quickly realized, it can make great returns, but you have to play with real money to get anywhere. I’m 23 now committed to fully learning, and have a 3 account split. 1 Roth (strictly retirement) 2 technical trading ( testing waters) 3 fundamental trading, I one day hope to leverage into PE I am a novice obviously, and don’t have direction, any advice, study materials, working towards an MBA in finance. I work sales and have a decent amount to... 4 0 replies
Trading on mix of stimulants without sleep or food all day for a week with up to 50x leverage Can I make it? What are my odds? I only mean to increase my leverage on my trades. What do you guys think? Actually 3x profit on bybit (would be more but had to close eth short due to you know haha) and 2x on binance since I started 3 days ago. Stimulants in question are amphetamine(speed), caffeine(energy drinks) and nicotine. Slept 2 hours one day. 1 9 replies
Learning to trade from mentors. Why would anyone who’s making money would teach you? Why would you pay money to someone to teach something that you can learn yourself? Addressing these questions comes with a lot of complications when the answers are very simple. Good mentors out here can actually teach you how to learn the basics and advanced stuff so you can trade better. A lot of traders hate on traders who are trying to help other traders. So many good traders actually want to teach but they all get shunned away. Only... 1 11 replies
My advice to new or unprofitable traders For context, I have been trading a little over 4 years now and have been consistently profitable. Now, as a part-time trading coach, Looking back, I was going in circle and did many beginners mistakes in the book. If there was one advice I would give my younger self would be to back-test more. Your back-test results are the fundamentals. This is key to improving your game. Over the years, I notice some of my students who quit before meeting me usually had no back-tests whatsoever. Look at the... 1 6 replies
Reimbursing trading expenses and tax implications I've traded on the side for years in my personal account and starting to work on automating some of my strategies. If I want to claim my expenses (API subscriptions, cloud instances, computers/SSDs/hardware I buy for it, home office) against my earnings on my tax return, does that implicate me to also have to pay self employment taxes because I'm calling it a business, or no? 2 0 replies
For anybody who's stuck, wants to hear, or want me to add value Hello.. I'm a young person who's been quite successful in day trading stocks for just about 3 years now. I've seen on multiple occasions gains of over 1k daily to loses of more of 5k in a day. I understand that this is a brutal place to do business in as it can be stressful. Despite my success in the market my external factors just have been poor. I understand that promoting services on here is disallowed, but at least to make me feel something of myself in this... 5 5 replies

Anyone interested in learning more about my market beating trading strategy? I have been developing a a straightforward quant trading strategy focusing on mean reversion, that I would like to share. The strategy focuses on trading stocks from the S&P 500. If you’re interested, you’re welcome to join and paper/demo trade my signals for a month (or two) to see their effectiveness. The strategy is simple enough to follow and understand. I have posted a screen shot of its performance. Do let me know if you’re interested and I can share a link where you can join the alerts. https://preview.redd.it/tu1zwvx2kkke1.png?width=991&format=png&auto=webp&s=b2c4958f5e0aa9c6eb87a1c5bc20369077a52af3... 4 0 replies
Reflection on this week’s trading GBP/USD So pretty solid week trading this pair. Made £9k and implemented some changes to my overall strategy for better risk mitigation, particularly to this increasingly volatile pair, plus the potential for Trump to post something wild. A couple of key insights; * MACD is the single strongest indicator for this pair * I need to be reviewing all trades at the 5m, 15m, 30m and 1hr time frames. 30 mins seems to be overall most reflective of short term trends * I switched brokers from T212 to IC markets.... 3 0 replies

My pink sheet limit order is filling at a better price than I asked for So I have an open limit order to buy a stock at 0.01$. It is a low liquidity pink sheet stock, so the order has been open and unfilled for a while. However, now it started partial filling at 0.0075$. How is that possible? 3 0 replies
Searching for a good prop firm. Hello, I have recently started looking into prop firms and have purchased a challenge with one without intense researches. My only criteria was: i had to be able to trade from tradingview directly. I have been trading paper for a while and like the app and website. Unfortunately I have come to find out that they do not let me trade futures. My strategy is based around smt so the only thing I really want to trade is futures. I was wondering if anyone could give me trusted prop... 4 0 replies
