    Groups of support here?

Are there any FB/Reddit etc. groups who inform their members that there is good discount happening? Like recently it was good time to buy NASDAQ and it would be good to be informed by someone about that. If someone is not following prices daily.

what are you guys thoughts about trading in the long term?

so for context, ive been trading for 4 years and i have recently been profitable for the last 3 months using prop firms ($22k+ in profits so far) but i was wondering whether i should do this as a career. im still young (only worked 1 job so far in my life) and these profits in the last few months has been huge for me although i feel that i have areas where i can still improve to lock in more profits. so what should i do? should i...

How do you know which day or period is "safe" to trade?

How do you know which day or period is "safe," meaning less market volatility or fewer news events? I do check the news, but I'm confused about how high-importance news sometimes has such a strong effect and weight that everything in the market seems to stop in anticipation of it. Yet, at other times, it doesn't seem to have as much effect, and the market only slows down slightly before the news event. I feel like even different types of high-importance news (such as CPI, Core CPI, Unemployment Claims,...

How Long Can You Hold a Short Sell Position?

Can I hold a short sell position for, say, six months? Or does it depend on something else? What is the longest period you can keep a short sell contract open, and when does it stop making sense to hold it?

i love to sell the shit out of silver, why do people even go long on silver ?

i love to sell the shit out of silver, why do people even go long on silver ? i mean it is obvious and the charts and history don't lie, when ever silver slowly and hardly rises, it falls massively, a good opportunity to make money. There are always those believers which thinks silver is to hold, that is cool, but not to make money, to make money i see selling it is the way to go, what you you think about that, considering looking at he past and...

What is supposed to be done during a bull run for long term holders?

I am fairly new to crypto, been doing a bunch of research for the past months and I started investing weekly into BTC and ETH. My main objective is to hold both of these cryptos and not sell for a long time. Since we are experiencing a bull run, and I don't have much experience in the matter, I am not sure if I should be blindly buying ever week for DCA purposes or if I should wait for BTC and ETH to drop low and then start buying...

Feedback on LLM (codegen) based quant research tool.

Hello everyone, For the past few months, I have been working on a GPT-based quantitative research tool. It has access to - * 20+ years of daily equity data * 5+ years of Options pricing data * 15+ years of Company fundamental data * Insider and senator trades (oh yes, we went there!) * A mind-blowing 2 million+ economic indicators * Plus, a dynamic web/news search engine that can extract historical event dates for any concept in history. I would love to get some feedback on the tool. You...

    Intraday Trading

I’ve seen a lot of posts referencing over trading, revenge trading, bored trading, etc. None of these descriptions are TRADING!!! Trading is seeing an opportunity in the market to buy at a price which sets you up for selling at a higher price or selling at a price that sets you up for buying at a lower price. Spend your time learning how to recognize patterns in the market that create high probabilities opportunities for buying and selling at levels that make you profitable. Stop rationalizing these other behavioral...

    FundingPips Payout Cycle

Hello, recently I passed Funding Pips 2-step evaluation and just today I got the Master account onboarded. Now, I need to decide my payout cycle. There are a few options: \- Weekly payout (60% of the profits) \- Bi-weekly payout (80% of the profits) \- Monthly payout (100% of the profits) I am, to be honest, most interested in the bi-weekly option, but I have some concerns. If I choose the bi-weekly (80%) option and let's say I make 1% of profit, will I get paid approximately 0.8% of...

    +500% Yearly - Turn 10k into 700k

The mean reversion strategy aims to capitalize on these deviations by entering trades when prices are likely to revert to their average. The [CCI ](https://www.babypips.com/forexpedia/commodity-channel-index)indicator itself shows how much the price deviates from the mean. This is what you need for a Mean Reversion strategy! # Strategy * **Instrument**: US100 (NQ) * **TF**: 1D (*The...

Hard stop vs time based soft stop backtest

Yesterday I was thinking about a soft stop, because my algorithm uses very tight hard stops, so when market is in a prolonged sideways range, position tends to get stopped out multiple times. https://preview.redd.it/8zows1zqok7e1.jpg?width=873&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d788f95c83a5e4390a4bd78b91c409c28c0bd935 I have attached a screenshot of the results, funding on each month is the same $10,000 with a fixed position size. Stop size is variable depending on market condition, all trades include 1.2x trading fee. The algorithm is designed primarily for trending market, and supervised by human traders; There is no human supervision when doing...

    New to trading

Been learning the past couple of months and was successful but had an issue when i traded some cryptos, robinhood would take half a percent of the buying price (i would pay more than it should cost for example a 100 coin for 100.5) is there a platform which would be more convenient in this scenario? Thank you and keep in mind i’m still new so excuse any wring terms used.
