Founder conflict In my first year, when I onboarded a third cofounder after we passed the honeymoon phase, things began to crack. (For reference, that's about 3 months.) What opened my eyes was when we took a personality test and realized we were both terrible at operations. The test results inevitably broke the relationship, and we parted ways. What was the most uncomfortable conversation you've ever had with a cofounder? At what point did it happen in the startup? How did you resolve it, and what will you do in the... 4 0 replies
What tools do you use to create video demos? I am a software developer, but I don't want to spend time coding an startup idea without knowing if people will like it. So, I want to create a video presentation, but I have no experience with video editing. What tools do you use to create video demos? 3 0 replies
Got a nasty concussion, went on medical leave, and finally published an app I got slammed on my head in a jiu jitsu match in May 2024 that completely put me on my ass for 5 months. Things weren't too bad initially, but I made the mistake of trying to push through the injury and continued to work, workout, socialize, etc... By July I was pretty much a vegetable and unable to sit up for longer than 30 minutes without feeling sick, and had to go on medical leave at work. I also started to get really intense anxiety out of fear... 1 0 replies

"How Modern Marketplaces Like Uber and Airbnb Build Trust to Achieve Liquidity" Article: "How Modern Marketplaces Like Uber and Airbnb Build Trust to Achieve Liquidity" (link in comments b/c I can't create posts with links) Excerpt: “…Uber users don't want to spend the time sifting through drivers’ ratings and reviews. You expect that the company has already removed poorly-rated drivers from the system. You’ll never see a driver with lower than a 3-star rating on Uber, and as a result, very few riders worry about having a bad experience. The corollary is that drivers can depend on the system to weed... 4 0 replies
Do You Ever Wish You Had a Personal Assistant? Life gets so busy sometimes, doesn’t it? Between work, errands, and all the little tasks that pile up, I often find myself wishing I had a personal assistant to help manage everything. It’s not just the big tasks—those I can usually handle—but it’s the small, repetitive things: scheduling appointments, organizing notes, or even keeping track of to-dos. It would be amazing to have someone (or even something) to take care of those details so I could focus on the bigger picture. What about you? Do you ever feel the same... 5 0 replies
Why do people pay for HubSpot's content hub? I’ve never used HubSpot’s AI content hub, but I see a lot of people talking about it. From a reddit post I noticed that it can remix content from blogs to social posts to emails, adjust tone, and generate photos... But isn’t this stuff ChatGPT can already do? (Exactly what I found people asking in that reddit post) Why do people still pay for HubSpot’s AI? I know it’s a good product. The features look smooth and well-integrated. I’m just curious—what’s the main reason people buy it? What’s the... 3 0 replies

Tired of the "There's already a business" Criticism This seems to be the most reoccurring theme when posts about business ideas are commented on. Yes there's probably a number of competitors, ok? It's always said as if it's the end all be all reason to just walk away from any pursuit when in reality most people should know competition is expected and healthy. Sorry for the rant post but it's exhausting to see on every post about a new startup. Competition is good, stop using that as a reason to not pursue your business 4 0 replies
Suggestion for the sub You might hate this, but please hear me out... Could we consider a rule whereby posts from people looking for co-founders or early employees or whatever clearly label the nature of the compensation? For example: - `Looking for a co-founder` ❌ - `[Equity only] Looking for a co-founder ` ✅ - `Need a software engineer ` ❌ - `[Day rate] Need a software engineer` ✅ - `Looking for a CFO ` ❌ - `[Equity + Noodles] Looking for a CFO` ✅ 4 0 replies

Why isn't this already a product? I was brainstorming ideas and something hit me, content creation is a full time job, why is there no tool to automate the business side of content creation so that creators can focus on improving the actual content quality. A service which analyses your niche, subscribers/viewers, ecosystem, and from this, does outreach to potential sponsors, collaborations that are mutually beneficial, topic suggestions, etc.. basically a tool to automate the business/marketing side of content creation? 3 0 replies
Raising funds for a Quick Commerce Startup Hi, everyone I'm launching a 60-min Delivery service for D2C Brands in Delhi. We're acting as enablers for D2C brands offering them warehousing, packaging and shipping services through two strategically placed dark stores in Delhi. How will it work? * Customers place an order on online channels like Amazon, Shopify, Woocommerce etc. * **Order Transfer** :Orders are automatically integrated with our system or manually imported, ensuring real-time transfer to our backend. * **Warehouse Allocation**: Using intelligent mapping, our system identifies the nearest warehouse based on the delivery location. Is this an innovative product? I'm building a translation/localization SAAS that takes video then outputs a version with your own voice speaking another language with the correct lip movement. I'm trying to stand out with my offering so a cool feature I was thinking of adding is automatic localization with your content, so for example if you're talking about a famous singer in a general manner, "I wish I could sing like Adele" but you want to translate it for the Chinese population, it would convert to "I wish I could sing like G.E.M.... 1 0 replies
Simple Design for Deep Tech Startups I'm running a deep tech startup solo, and I'm finding that even basic design can be a huge differentiator. My competitors, some with teams of 5-6 people, were neglecting their branding entirely. Their websites were atrocious, their marketing materials nonexistent. I decided to focus on creating a professional image from day one – decent website, product catalog, even a texture package for 3D models. The results were surprising. Early adopters assumed I was a much larger company, and it actually helped me close deals. I think for deep tech,... 3 0 replies
Finally found our calling. Wanted to share our little milestone Tldr: Our startup recently reached 2100+ signups on our waitlist. Finally feel like we're doing something important. Woohoo! Our journey started with a shared frustration about the state of job boards and outsourcing platforms available for Filipino remote workers and freelancers. Too often, these outsourcing platforms are riddled with scams, exploitation, and even discrimination-issues that are largely ignored by the established players. Despite their dominance, many have grown complacent, leaving the community underserved and overlooked. With that, we saw an opportunity to create a platform that offered better tools,... 2 0 replies

I think i'm stuck on the 'ideas' stage Hi there, 25M from Argentina. Since I've started 4 years ago in software development I decided that at some point I wanted to start something of my own, but I needed experience. Now, I've a little more experience but for some reason i feel stuck on the "ideas" part of my journey. I've a few ideas of apps or platform that i can implement but I find that there is competition that does it better or something and i never start. In the past, when I was finishing high... 4 0 replies
