Wedding attire for westerner In a couple of weeks my wife, daughters and I will travel to Jaipur to attend a colleague's wedding. She's been extra busy so I don't want to bother her with too many questions, but the thing is, I've never been to an Indian wedding, not even to India in my life. Couple of questions arise: - as a white male foreigner, what am I expected to wear at this wedding? Suit? Suit no tie? Metallica T-shirt? Traditional Rajasthani costume? - as a white female foreigner (my wife), how... 2 2 replies

Our structured debate format encourages constructive dialogue, solution-based... 2 5 replies

Want to experience Rajasthan as a solo Indian female traveller Hi folks, I (27F) have travelled solo in India before, mainly in the south, Himachal and the north east. I want to visit Rajasthan in March, experience Holi (I'm south indian so this would be my first time) and also just experience the place. I had visited Rajasthan as a group from college and found it very beautiful, so I would love to visit again, alone this time. Do you think it would be safe to explore the place alone? I can speak Hindi and I'll avoid travelling around... 5 20 replies
