Wedding attire for westerner

In a couple of weeks my wife, daughters and I will travel to Jaipur to attend a colleague's wedding. She's been extra busy so I don't want to bother her with too many questions, but the thing is, I've never been to an Indian wedding, not even to India in my life. Couple of questions arise: - as a white male foreigner, what am I expected to wear at this wedding? Suit? Suit no tie? Metallica T-shirt? Traditional Rajasthani costume? - as a white female foreigner (my wife), how weird or expected is for her to wear a Sari? - Do weddings usually have a color that people need to follow, or any Sari would work? - Can a Sari be bought the day prior to the wedding or does it usually need more days for the seamstress to tailor it? - What's the approximate local price for a Sari and what's roughly the foreigner price? - Can my daughters (8 and 3) also wear Sari? Or is it just easier to have them wear dresses from here and just buy a fun scarf with local colors?
