It’s not the discrimination rather tolerance of punjabis that is driving the religious conversions in Punjab . Central government data points towards one thing that Punjab is among the states with least practice of untouchability and social discrimination. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist . But blaming sikhs or Hindus for conversions is a blatant attempt to downplay the coercive techniques being employed to convert people . Nevertheless Most of the testimonies always have this point in common ( monetary benefit ) .
