    Beautiful North East

Amidst the excess of negativity in this sub Reddit, I saw a post earlier talking about what we think of each other. So continuing that here is mine: Sikkimese here. (Many stereotypes, so sorry in advance. It’s also generic but also specific to my experiences. I have visited all the NE states and lived in Assam and Manipur.) Arunachali- fellow Buddhist brothers and sisters, pretty girls, cute Hindi, monasteries. Beautiful mountains, and Tawang Monastery is like going up to the heaven. Assam: Bihu dancing, those pointy colourful hats idk...

Does this sub filled with mainlanders trying to push their own motives?

As the title says, i've been on this sub for less than a week (i'm from the mainland too) but i am able to see few patterns. You know guys from indiaspeaks and their contrary unitedSIndia fighting in the comment sections and submiting posts on whether they should hate India or die for India and nothing in between. When i saw this sub i was really eager to know about northeastern lifetyle and their culinary culture but to my surprise its filled with mainlanders bring their own hate politics...

What is your source of income?

As we are from Northeast India, we have very limited infrastructure to generate revenue. Nevertheless I wanna know about your source of income, ways to make money 😁 and how you cope with your financial issues by living in Northeastern Region.

    Hi, fellow Northeasterners!

How do people from your state perceive other Northeastern states? As an Arunachali, this is how the average Arunachali perceives other Northeastern states: Nagaland - Cool people, good fashion sense, great aesthetics, musically gifted, up-to-date with the latest trends and pop culture, friendly and fun. Underground activities in Eastern Arunachal. Also, yummy axone pork woohoo! Mizoram - Similar to Nagas, except less friendly and fun. They like to stick to their own kind and love speaking in Mizo Tawng (nothing wrong with that, though). Traffic discipline. Meghalaya - Also...

(To northeasterners) What is your opinion on Railways in northeast India?

Context: This [video](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DE40xuhB_LY/?igsh=OXBjb3J3a2RydXpq) is picking up views in Instagram All the states of Northeast India have Airports and people have no problem with them. However when it comes to railways, a bunch of locals seem to be against railways because the trains operating on these railways usually have tonnes of passengers who don't even pay tickets and gutka spitting behaviour, and a certain group of people who harass others on trains. Also, the fear of undocumented kanglus and non locals influxing these trains to change the demography of their...

A quick and simple lunch to push through day.

A simple meal with red sticky rice which is cultivated in Dotma area of Bodoland, Assam. Stir fried Pigeon pea harvested straight from our garden and a sad attempt at Nepali Mulako Achar 😭 which tastes fine but nowhere near the taste that I still remember from my travel to Nepal, miss Pokhara city and lake Phewa😔.
