Although those steps are nothing compared to global standards, at least mainlanders are doing something.... 1 3 replies

Ayatai Mukokchung Hello everyone, I’m currently working on a project to write a detailed and impactful story about the 1994 Mokokchung Massacre. If anyone here has any information, personal accounts, or resources (articles, old newspaper clippings, or even oral histories), I would deeply appreciate your help. I also welcome suggestions on how to approach this topic with the sensitivity and respect it deserves. Thank you. 3 0 replies

I don't hate mainalnders; no one should hate Mainlanders, but.. I do have an issue with a certain type of urban, lower-middle-class, English-speaking Mainlanders who feel the need to stick their nose everywhere, even here on this sub, down from categorising our states and people based don't their likings, dish out lectures as if anyone asked for their input, constantly crave for praises and appreciation, offer advice and opinions on matters they are extremely ill-informed about, try to bring Mainland centric narrative be it in politics or religion on NE discourse. They do this everywhere not just in this... 1 16 replies

Karbi Anglong & Dimapur Hasao ; the only non-assamese speaking tribal majority districts in North-East India that didn't get a state of their own We've been demanding a state of our own for many decades. All our neighbouring districts, eg. Hojai and Cachar are filled with illegal immigrants. Soon we'll be devoured too. And, no, we aren't similar to Assamese tribals like Sutiya, Moran, Sonowals, Thengal etc. https://youtu.be/mzEjhdK4lTA?si=u71p6kVK6BLO92tG https://youtu.be/3GEZYSiDgJ4?si=Om95mzQVPPpX2YYS 4 10 replies
