Pls help me find this guy

I’m posting this on behalf of someone who is currently in a helpless situation. He lost his younger sister last year and a guy promised him a job in Dubai. He duped him off 1.50 lakhs even after knowing his situation. I have attached his pictures. A formal complaint has been filed against him but the cops are not able to trace his whereabouts. He used to stay in Mangalore. The guy who got duped is now working in a hotel as a caretaker. I felt sad for him...

The Hidden Patriarchy? Discrimination in Progressive Families

I am surprised and saddened to witness yet another instance of parents discriminating between a girl and a boy child. This happened last week with my neighbor, Priya. I live in a nice neighborhood in India. I know Priya's family, her parents as well as her hubby, very well. Priya’s parents are well-off (dad is a businessman and mom is a doctor), highly educated, and very cultured. Priya is in her 40s and is married with two kids. She lives with her husband. Her parents used to live in...

19th Century Rajasthani Ring: looking for more information

Looking to learn more: 19th Century Rajasthani ring Hello I recently received this ring and was looking if anyone has any further insights information about it. All I know is that it may be mid to late 19th Century from Rajasthan and that it is gold filled with polychromatic enamel foil back and faceted diamonds. Has anyone ever seen a ring like this or has any experience with them?

Renjo La pass (17,585ft ) solely through human effort

Usually, trekkers take a flight or bus to Nepal, but I take immense pride in knowing that my journey from Kanyakumari (0 degrees above sea level) to Renjo La Pass (17,585ft above sea level ) was accomplished solely through human effort—cycling and walking every step of the way. It stands as one of the most incredible and fulfilling achievements of my life this year.

Hi everyone, I'm a student traveling to Sydney for my Master's, and this is my first time flying, both domestically and internationally! Here are some of the things I’d like help with: 1. **Check-in process**: What do I do when I reach the airport? Do I check in online or at the airport counter?...

TMC MP Mahua Moitra Takes Sly Dig At Ex-CJI DY Chandrachud

During a Lok Sabha debate marking 75 years of the Constitution, Mahua Moitra criticized the judiciary, indirectly targeting former Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud. She accused certain judges of compromising the independence of constitutional courts, raising concerns over selective bail decisions during Chandrachud's tenure. Moitra pointed out that while high-profile cases like those of Arnab Goswami and Mohammed Zubair received bail, many others, including Gulfisha Fatima, Hany Babu, Khalid Saifi, Sharjeel Imam, and Umar Khalid, were overlooked. Her remarks highlighted perceived inconsistencies in the judiciary’s approach to justice....

Is anyone here absolutely sick of the tax system ?

I'm not talking about the general "ugh, these darn taxes" but like a full blown hate towards them ? Economy has come down to 5.4% from 6%+ and the GST is STILL RISING somehow! A new slab of 28% GST on luxury items and a 35% GST inflation in soft drinks which is literally something Indians consume a lot especially because of our severely hotter climate. India is earning profit on profit because of Russian-Ukrain war on fuels and cash but it's still increasing ?? I'm not even sure...
