New to Vishnu Bhakti – Looking for Guidance Hello, I am a boy from Maharashtra. Since childhood, I have always felt a deep connection to Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, and the Dashavataras. As I grew up, I learned that they are all avatars of Shree Hari Vishnu. I have always wanted to worship Lord Vishnu in all His forms, including **Garbhodakashayi Vishnu** and **Kshirodakashayi Vishnu**. However, in my region, people mostly worship Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha, so my elders and parents don’t have much knowledge about Vishnu Bhakti. To learn more, I am studying the **Shrimad... 1 0 replies
Will everyone except Hindus go to hell? More details below This is a question that has always crossed my mind. For centuries alot of foreigners didn't know about Hinduism,so they continued on their lives without living like what Hinduism says to. They ate beef, meat etc etc. Even today not everyone's a Hindu and they don't follow Hindu code of condcut (Not that i have any sort of problem with them not doing so,infact i believe theres nothing wrong in them doing this). My question is,will they all get naraka for doing so and not following Hindu rules of life?... 5 0 replies
do you find christianity to be incorrect? hinduism seems to be a beautiful faith but people follow blindly and has become pacifistic and did not spread. christianity is just as confusing or deep in texts and history, but with much more darkness, slavery, inquisitions etc compared to hinduism with nothing but bravery and goodness. both have deep histories. I like looking into religions and feel christianity has issues but some pros too. thoughts? also though i disagree with the doctrine that "my way or hell" does hinduism have any consequences for infidelity? 4 0 replies
Believe in Mahadev but my birth chart is making me extremely sad I was watching random reels when I got a well renowned astrologer saying that VENUS+KETU in D9 will result in bad marriage and sexual life. I have this conjunction in 5th house of D9 chart. I feel completely disappointed since I don’t want to have a life where I won’t find live and even if I do find it….it will end up badly. What’s the point of living a life w/o people to share with. I always wanted a wife and kids however now Idk what to do😭😭. My... 5 11 replies

What happened to Mayavati/Rati after Pradyumna dies? From my understanding of the story of Kama & Rati: Kama is obliterated by Shiva after striking him with a love arrow, Rati askes Shiva to return her husband Shiva says he'll return as Ananga (bodiless), then Rati is either told by Parvati to wait in Sambara's house or she is kidnapped by Sambara after she insults Narada or reincarnated then Kama is reborn as Pradyumna (the son of Krishna & Rukmini) and ends up in Sambara's house after Sambara tries to kill him, Rati who now goes by... 3 2 replies

How I experienced divinity Hi All, hope you all are doing well. This is something that happened with me 2 years back that I'd like to share here since I think this is the appropriate sub where I won't get debuffed. My parents have brought me up to be a rational and practical child. I've always questioned religion and religious practices, not to debunk it, but to understand the 'Why' behind it. I've also had a brief stint as an atheist sometime in college. (Blame the raging hormones) I got to experience Hinduism... 1 0 replies
Would the "Om" symbol being used on gymshark apparel make you feel a certain way? I am currently doing research as a college student for an assignment and was wondering of the "Om" symbol would make you feel a certain way or would you be completely fine with them. Does this feel like appropriation or someone trying to connect and adhere to another culture? 5 0 replies
A boy's beliefs For the past year, I was an athiest. My mother was disappointed but I adamently stuck to my beliefs. It is only after some thinking and discussions with my father that I have come to a temporary conclusion. The "gods" that we believe in like Vishnu, Siva, etc are not completely true. They are simplified versions or stories created by the "enlightened" to get us started on our journeys since we, at our current stage cannot truly understand/comprehend what they percieve as "gods". Like how some professors explain complex... 2 0 replies

What is devotion, and is it necessary? Whenever I find myself getting egoic, the form of worship (whether it’s god, guru or deity) becomes dualistic in nature. Almost unbearable to worship because the ego feels hurt and weak compared to the holy symbols of worship. A sense of ‘I’m better than you, why should I worship you?’. However, this feeling disappears whenever I find myself less egoic. I actually feel close to the form of worship, a deep spiritual connection uncovers. So what is devotion, and is it necessary? Should one who is deeply egoic, try... 4 0 replies
