Paranormal experiences during vrat

I've done 16 Somvar vrat a few times, over the past 4 years. The thing I've been praying for, still hasn't happened. I'm planning to start the next one, in a few days. Whenever I do the vrat, I get nightmares on and around Mondays. As my pooja time gets closer in the evening, my anger starts going up. I used to get sleep paralysis attacks on every Sunday and Monday, during the vrat, but they stopped when I started reciting kavacha. Nothing scary happens during the day but...

Meditation bringing adverse changes in my life suddenly

Good books to start with?

I only speak English and a little bit of German, no Sanskrit or Indian scripts, so I'm looking for something that isn't exact but at least gets the same message across as the original. Also, I've heard the books are somewhat seperated into three categories, although I forget them. Anyway, if you would could you say which category the book is in? Thanks

Question about shipping a small brass Shiva statue.

I sold a smaller sized Shiva figure that'd I'd found at a thrift store. Any particular things I should avoid when shipping it? I'm not Hindu and usually sell things I'm more knowledgeable of...paper and bubble wrapping it is the plan but I figured I'd ask just to make sure I could avoid a simple faux pas of a custom. Let's not deny the fact or say it's mixing from invaders, Meat consumption has been mentioned in our texts from Veda, Mahabharata to Ramayan. I don't find issue thet humans consume it, but I can't understand why it is mentioned in our texts to offer it to god's, Surely bhagwan doesn't need us to kill animals for him, and we also find some verses saying we shouldn't kill animals, so why is there two versions where one says not to kill animals but many verses say to offer them...

Do Vedas or Puranas talk about shape of the universe?

I was reading about the meaning of Bhugol and how we had an understanding of spherical shape of mother Earth. Does it mean I can translate the wors Khagol to mean Universe is also round? I understand Khagol means study of celestial bodies.
