How to start as a beginner?

Hello mates! I am currently rated 393 on chess.com. I have been playing chess for a while but I don't play online matches as I get scared that my rating will fall off. 1000 vs 1500 elo?

What is the major difference between a 1000 rated and a 1500 rated player. I have been playing chess for quite a while now and reached 1500 just a couple of days ago. Through out this i noticed that even at 1500 some players make mistakes equivalent to a 1000 rated player. The only thing that makes it more interesting is that your opponent and you both have atleast mastered 1 or more openings and there are no more unnecessary exchanges which 1000 players do at the very beginning...

I was 900+ elo when I won this rapid against a 1400+ elo and he started spewing verbal diarrhoea on me. I am attaching all the relevant screenshots below. All I can’t understand is how he is even unable to comprehend is he would’ve been 900 elo too at a certain point in his life.

For context, I played the game on my laptop and this is like the first time in my life I’ve faced hate like this on chess.com so I decided to take the photo on my mobile.I’ll attach the link to my game in the chat so you can decide.
